MOHR CONSTRUCTION began in 1966 when president Steve Mohr started painting houses.  

In 1972, Steve moved into new home construction by building his first two homes.  By 1975 Mohr Construction was building five to ten homes per year.  In 1976 Steve joined the Norman, Oklahoma state and national chapters of the Association of Home Builders. He became a HOW approved builder in 1977.

By 1987, Mohr Construction shifted focus from new home construction to residential and light commercial remodeling.  In 2000, Steve's son Michael joined the company and became vice president, currently serving as project manager.  In 2003 Mohr began building new homes, spec as well as custom. 

Mohr Construction has been awarded "Builder of the Year" four times and "Remodeler of the Year" once. Steve has been president of the Norman Home Builders Association four times. He has also served as president of the Oklahoma State Home Builders Association.  Currently, Steve is a member of the Builders Association of South Central Oklahoma board of directors.

> We hired Mohr Construction because they had a reputation of working primarily on renovations and add-ons. We were living in our home while the work was taking place and they were very concientious of our privacy and keeping the mess to a minimum. Their crews were very respectful of our home and our family and we never felt like we were in the way. The project took much longer to complete than origionally estimated but we expected as much. Everyone we talked to said nearly all construction projects take longer than you think. We have them a very tough job...adding a second story room to a home that did not have a second story. We have been very happy with the quality of work and love our new addition. It is beautiful and unique and we constantly get compliments on it. Any problems that have popped up, they have been right on top of it and have worked to make sure it is corrected.

> We hired Mohr Construction, LLC to replace our wooden Pella entry door system because the veneer was starting to peel off from 29 years with no protection from the sun and inclimate weather.  We also needed our brick mailbox replaced.  Through our discussions with Steve and Michael Mohr, we decided to add a covered area at the entry of our house to protect the door, guests and US.  (We enjoy stepping outside to listen to the rain on the metal roof, check out the size of hail, etc.)  While the project took longer than anticipated, we are absolutely thrilled with the end result.  Part of the delay was due to change orders we made and we appreciate the fact that our satisfaction was paramount.  We now have a beautiful Pella fiberglass door system with leaded glass a little different from our original and we're confident it will last beyond our lifetime.  The mailbox now has a concrete cap on it, still flows with the architecture of our house and the stainless steel locking box we bought looks beautiful in it.  However, the highlight of our project is the curved copper roof above the walkway to the door and the transition of our front porch from a concrete/brick paver porch with a step to a textured tile-covered ramp.  The slant is so subtle you hardly notice it.  The entire entry area is much more aesthetically pleasing than we anticipated and the ramp is an "age in place" feature we wouldn't have come up with on our own.  The Mohrs also did a master bath remodel a few years ago that we couldn't be happier with.  While we changed some things from the original bid, we weren't blindsided by unanticipated costs.  I'm sorry I don't have pictures on my computer to add to this review because I LOVE the way it looks!  We get lots of compliments about the remodel looking like it's been there forever.  Bryce and I HIGHLY recommend Mohr Construction for any remodel you're considering, no matter the size.  Thanks a million, Steve and Mike!
