The entire experience in repairing our roof after hail damage couldn't have gone more smoothly. Sergio Maldonado, the Owner, met with us on multiple occasions to explain every step of the process. He handled all the permits and communication with our insurance company and completed all work on time and within budget. And after observing other roofing companies in the neighborhood, we couldn't have been more pleased with how polite and clean his crew were and how they were so careful they were of our property. We were so pleased with his work and with him as a caring business man that we recommended his company to many of our neighbors who ended up hiring him as well. Does not know how to properly apply Red Guard moisture barrier. Applied it when there were still holes in the cement board. Defeats the purpose of putting a water barrier when you leave holes that allow water to get in. > > 2\. Didn’t it bother to prep the cabinets for refinishing. Just painted over the old paint, without even taking off the doors. Result was old paint was still visible in a lot of places. > > 3\. Terrible tile work and blames the quality of the tile as the reason. > > 4\. Used a flexible accordion pipe for the sink vanity. > > 5\. Installed a new window and left sticker gunk on the outside. Window is on the 3rd floor. > > 6\. Complained about the faucet because I️ bought generic ones on eBay. Faucet hose came with a standard 1/2” connector. Since they measured it incorrectly, they kept looking 3/4” fitting. > Long story short, they gave up on trying to get the water line connected to the faucet. And the excuse they used was installing the faucet was not included in the estimate. I️ went to Apex plumbing and told them what I️ need presto was I️ able to connect the faucet to the water lines. > They also insisted that I️ get a new faucet, which I️ did, so that they can finish the project. Faucet arrived and they didn’t do anything with it. **Comment from SLM General Contractors, LLC:** > Mr. Wilson, We are very confused as to the motives of your negative post. Specially when the photos you have posted are not of the finished project but from the work in progress. We have been unable to contact you several times on the phone and email to try to resolve this, so you leave me no choice other than to expose you on your misleading comments. > > Aside from the letter of satisfaction that you signed before we left your project ( see attached ), I will include some photos that we took and a short response to your complaints. > > 1\. See attached photo of the cement board sealed. > 2\. The photo you submitted is not of the finished work. That photo does not include the new hinges we installed. Again, a photo of work in progress. > 3\. The tile you purchased is of very low quality as we notified you in numerous occasions. We kept two of them and are ready to show their uneven edges.( as we already did before to you ) > 4\. Plumbing code does not prevent the use of a flexible drain. But we went ahead and replaced it at your request ( at no charge ) but again, your photo does not show the new drain pipe installed. > 5\. Correct, the glue from the sticker was left on the exterior of the window and it was scheduled to be cleaned until we received this negative post. We are more than willing to get it clean but need to communicate with you to get access to the property. > 6\. As you stated on your comment, the installation of the faucet was not in our contract and we had foreseen difficulties in installation when we found out the source and quality of the faucet. Still, we went ahead and installed it ( at no charge ) and spent an entire day going to plumbing supply stores trying to find the correct fittings for it. We can not allocate resources to locate items for which we advised you not to purchase. We wold gladly install it (for a charge) if you supply all necessary connections or if you purchase a faucet from an local plumbing supply store. > > I could go on and on about all the extra work we did at no extra charge to you.
