Thus began our search for a contractor to assist us. After discussions with three contractors, we selected Icon Construction & Design for our remodel, and we are so glad we did. Having had trouble with various sub contractors in the past, we were cautious in our selection process. Those concerns were quickly put to rest upon meeting with Nick, and later owner Casey. > > Nick walked us through the entire process, and we had a group meeting with Casey, Nick, and our project manager, Mike, to lay out the entire scope and timeline of the project before starting. They were patient, allowing for our numerous questions and were more than willing to make adjustments to our needs in scope and timeline. That flexibility was key to assuring us that Icon would do the job we wanted. > > Nick introduced us to Jen, Icon’s decorator assistant, and both assisted us in all of our product and color selections. Once the project began, Mike guided the project and literally held our hand throughout the entire process. Mike always went above and beyond to make sure that any questions or concerns that we had were always addressed. You could not ask for more from a project manager than Mike. He was on speed dial for us always. We got a message weekly to outline what was happening each week, then daily to give us specifics of times and details for the next day. A grateful shout out from us goes to Brian, Jesus, Steve, Matt, Justin, Casey and their teams. They were all top notch, experts in their field. Jenn is the designer coordinator. Tommy is the Project Manager. All are nice, professional and patient. A group text was set up once the work was underway. Jenn was helpful with design and color selections. Tommy is very professional, skilled and responsive. Every day he would report on the day’s progress and would let us know the schedule for the following day. He takes each project personally - he does a thorough check of the work. And if something is not to his liking, he makes sure the work is done right. The crew/ subcontractors (plumber, electrician, carpenter, painter, tiler, cabinet guy) are all so cordial and professional. He took the time to answer all of our questions, had great suggestions, and explained that he would be guiding us in our selections for the remodel of our kitchen and two bathrooms. Selections weren't easy, but Nick remained cheerful and patient throughout the process. Next came Mike, our Project Manager, a man who aims to please. He always had a smile on his face, made sure that everything was coordinated, and was willing to go above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met. When we were surprised that our new bathroom fan was white and stood out, Mike took it home and sanded and painted it for us, so it would match the wall color. Three cheers to Brian, another ICON team member, who spent so much time making sure our cabinets were perfect and got stuck changing lots of doorknobs. Each and every sub-contractor that ICON used was professional, well-qualified, and always willing to make any adjustments we needed. Due to a shower leak we got several quotes and chose a Clovis company. It was so nice to constantly be in contact with all of them if we had any questions or concerns. Nick and Jenn were extremely helpful during the selection of tile and plumbing materials. Mike (the project manager) was in contact with us every day. In spite of one defective plumbing part Mike jumped in and brought the necessary people in to fix the problem and there was minimal delay to the project. The tile guy, Roger, did exceptional work and I am sure that there will never be a leak anywhere in the shower. The tile is the talk and envy of our block! Each and every day the bathroom was left clean so we could still live in our master bedroom during nonworking hours. A special surprise was the house keeping service that dusted and cleaned the bedroom and the master bath at the end of the job. All of the ICON employees including the subcontractors were extremely professional and respectful. The workmanship and coordination of the job is beyond fantastic, and we couldn't be happier with the final outcome. ICON completed a 3 bedroom 2 bath remodel in six weeks which was their exact time estimate for the project. My wife absolutely loved working with Nick on material selection and he has incredible patience. Once the construction began our Project Manager Mike was always available and immediately addressed all of our concerns. I made sure I visited with several of the sub-contractors as the project moved forward. I was impressed with the attention to detail each them demonstrated and Roger our tile installer was a wealth of information and absolutely impressive. My wife now has her dream shower and Roger made it all look incredible. As the project moved forward I had a couple of extra add-ons and Nick was great at providing me some very cost effective options. We obtained three estimates before we decided on ICON. To be honest ICON was not the cheapest but had very reasonable pricing. Probably the biggest compliment I can give ICON is that I intentionally waited three weeks to do this review just in case I had “Buyers Remorse”. My wife and I are completely satisfied and will absolutely only use ICON on any future projects. They tore down walls, painted, opened up my kitchen, got new doors, floors, new bathrooms carpets and appliances. We were lucky enough to have such a great crew to work with. They worked around us since we had no choice but to live thru the construction. They were all gentlemen. They cleaned up after themselves every night before leaving the premises and took their time building our house back together. They want to make sure we are getting what we paid for. Casey and Mike looked at our house as if it was their own. When the tile wasn’t laid perfectly they made them redo the work. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the work. They were contractors I would feel good about telling my family and friends to choose ICON if they need any work done. It’s such a good feeling to know I can call them if I see something that might need to be looked at and they come over right away.
