> We have a 1920’s tudor-style home in Nashville with a 1920’s-style basement. The floor was a mix of dirt and rock and the original cedar posts were still in place supporting the structure. We knew we wanted to update the basement, but didn’t really know what we wanted to do. We met with John to walk through the space and talk about various ideas. John listened. He took time to ask us questions and helped us verbally-illustrate the goals of our initial design. At the same time, he was already thinking about natural light, flow through the rooms, and the structural feasibility. John provided models faster than expected that allowed us to further refine our design and accomplish our goals. We highly recommend John for any architect project.
