Melanie came and took measurements and then designed a system that would work for my needs after listening to me and seeing my "stuff". After receiving my designs ( on time as quoted) I went to the showroom, tweaked a few things and then ordered. > On installation day, Anthony arrived right on time. He put down drop cloths from my front door all the way thru my place to the closet so as not to track snow and dirt. He dismantled the old shelves, rods and brackets and plastered the holes. > He was meticulous, professional and neat. When almost finished, he realized that the laundry basket was the wrong size and called the warehouse to get the correct one. A: Thanks for asking about the island. We made it. It's what we do. Nothing is mass produced, it's all made to order. The top is a high gloss wood grain thermo foil. We covered it with glass because it's scratchable. And we don't want scratches. **Q: Island** *(in Photo Questions)* Where is the island from? A: The island you see is part of the 'Siena Closet' line. It's available through certain members of the National Closet Group. Valet Custom Closets is owned by Larry Fox who is primarily responsible for the development of the 'Siena Closet'. **Q: Love this space as a "hers" closet** *(in Photo Questions)* What is the dimensions of this closet What is the approx cost of it please A: This walk-in closet is perhaps 10x10...or more. The closet Island is about 2x2.5 with a tilt-down hamper behind the door. As islands go this is a small one but clearly has several functions - drawer, hamper and staging area.There are open shelves in the 'back' that aren't visible in this picture. The recessed pedastal base has levelers on it to accomodate the out-of-level floors that we encounter in old ( and sometimes new) Boston housing. In order to introduce an island the room should be of sufficient dimension to allow for a walk space of two feet (at a minimum) on all sides of the island.
