Virginia Brierley became a national and California state certified Interior Designer and founded Virginia B. Interior Design all before the age of 30. “I've been working professionally in this industry since I was 20 years old. It's always been my passion to be an Interior Designer.” she says.

With over a decade of experience with clients from South Beach and Beverly Hills to Trinidad & Tobago, Virginia has worked with some of society's top industrial designers, physicians, and artists. She has placed highly in several design competitions and most recently was featured in The Sofa Company's “Best LA Designer” sofa design competition.

> Virginia is a terrific designer and person. We hired her to update our builder-grade home: living room, dining room, family room, 2 bathrooms, bedroom, stairway, etc. She listened carefully and was more than willing to incorporate some of our own furniture.  Virginia's sense of design and color was wonderful - she was able to pick up on our taste, augment it with her own ideas, and incorporate everything into a beautiful and welcoming design. She was consistently responsive to us and to the subcontractors and always enthusiastic about our project. She was extremely organized which made it a blessing when she worked with the subcontractors (painters, flooring, tiling, plumbing). Because she has her ASID, she was able to take the place of a project manager -for example, she knew exactly what plumbing items and/or how many tiles needed to be ordered. Her knowledge made her able to work easily and closely with the subcontractors.  Virginia’s presence and knowledge made our remodeling go smoothly. She was always our advocate!

She helped on my complete home remodel from designing beautiful built-ins, effective floor layouts to lighting plans -she even tweaked some window and wall placements - to selecting tile, flooring, fixtures, and paint colors - and once it was done, furniture and drapes too! > I recently worked with Virginia to redecorate a family room and master bedroom. Working with a decorator is not always easy because sometimes projects become the designer's style and your personal aesthetic gets lost, but working with Virginia was so easy. She listened to my ideas and worked hard to translate what I thought I wanted into an actual plan. She gave me lots of choices that would all work within the design we were aiming for, and worked within the parameters we gave her, such as using existing pieces of furniture we wanted to keep. Both of our rooms look fresh and updated but still feel like "us." On a personal level, she is friendly and low-key and a total joy to partner with.

**Q: hi, what is the kind of wood material used for the left wall/cabinet?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I talked to one of the designer, he said it was rist white oak wood. I don't think I get it correct since I could find it any where

A: Try "rift" cut oak.
