> We planned a significant master bedroom renovation of our upstairs that   included adding a dormer, a master bathroom, raising the ceiling and adding windows for southern exposure and passive solar.  The existing room was partially finished but with poor insulation and natural lighting and no facilities.  We needed a set of plans that we could get bids for work and pull permits with the city.  Josh Lloyd w Sym-Home came to the house to review the space, listen to our objectives, and took photos and measurements.  Josh prepared 3-D conceptual layouts of the dormer options and the floor plan.  My wife was particularly appreciative of the 3-D plans as there were options she had liked in the 2-D plan but upon seeing them in 3-D realized it was not going to work or look the way she anticipated.  Josh refined the layout which turned out exactly the way we wanted.  We're very happy with the space and would recommend Josh and Sym-Home for residential home renovations.

A: The flooring is a combination of Interface FLOR (carpet tile) and Roppe rubber flooring (rubber tile). Thanks for your question!

**Q: Flooring** *(in Photo Questions)*

What type of flooring is used in this room?

A: The flooring directly in front of the shelves is Roppe rubber tile.  The carpet is FLOR from Interface.  It is a floating carpet system and is attached by stickers on each corner.  Great for kids because if they spill you can simply pull one square up and wash it in the sink!  Underneath all the flooring is a product called Dri-core is a subfloor meant for basement spaces and helps keep everything level and dry.  Thanks for your interest!

A: The island is 5' by 6'.

A: The cabinets are Maple wood Bridgewater by Kraftmaid with a Mushroom Finish with Cocoa Glaze

A: Thank you! The homeowners spent a lot of time selecting finishes for their new space.  The pendant lights are Rustic Glass Pendents from Pottery Barn.  The stools were purchased from Bungalow Home (http://www.bungalowhome.com/) which is a local Central Ohio store.
