A: The Granite is Mont Bleu, a stunning color!

A: It's a stuning Mont Bleu Granite.

**Q: IS HONED GRANITE AS STAIN RESISTANT AS POLISHED GRANITE?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

i WANT TO GET HONED GRANITE BUT WAS TOLD CAN'T PUT HOT COFFEE CUPS ETC. WITHOUT POTENTIALLY LEAVING A MARK. IS HONED GRANITE AS STAIN RESISTANT AS POLISHED GRANITE IF PROPERLY MAINTAINED?

A: A stone surface is always a stone surface, the finish does NOT change the durability or permeability of it. You can always seal both honed and polished to protect from issues like staining and etching. In lighter colors a honed finish can actually hide those a bit more than in a polished finish would.

Who has subed out Soapstone for honed or leathered granite?  What color did you go with?  Does it wear well?  Are you happy with the decision?  Thanks!!!

A: One option we always show to clients who want  the look of soapstone, we always show them Oscuro Mist. It is a granite, currently we have this stone in a polished and honed finish. Stunning movement and colors, and you get the strength of the granite!

It is sooooooo pretty it also brings out color of the wood on the cabinets.

A: This looks like Emperador Dark marble. We just got a new shipment if you want to come and see! Just unloading it...
