> We worked with Josh last year on big renovation of our kitchen and powder room in our Brooklyn townhouse. I am SO thrilled with the final product (it's the Kensington renovation he links to here) and Josh was a dream to work with. He really collaborated with us in terms of the design and scope, and led us through the process of permits, approvals and finding a contractor. I love that he stayed available throughout the reno itself, stopping by mid-construction to point things out and make sure the end product stayed true to our vision. He's also just kind, funny and lovely to work with. Highly recommend.

> We hired Josh to convert our two-story townhouse from 2 apartments back into a single family home. He did an excellent job of retaining the character of our home, which was built in 1910, while adding modern conveniences. We especially love our ensuite bathroom and the galley kitchen. He also found space for us to add a laundry closet upstairs. Josh was very professional and responsive to our needs. We definitely recommend him.

> I hired Josh to help me in preparing architectural drawings so that I could file an Alt-II permit for renovations that I was attempting to do in my apartment. Throughout the entire process Josh was very responsive and transparent. He was incredibly easy to work with and made sure that I was able to quickly receive the permit and continue with my planned work. Would certainly work with him again.

> Josh is professional and practical and has a good sense of humor. We were very happy with his work on our co-op apartment. He was easy to work with, attentive to our needs, and helpful in all respects.

> I've had a very positive experience working with Josh Goldstein on gut renovating a basement in residential building in Brooklyn, NY. The project involved an extensive excavation, foundation underpinning, pouring a new concrete slab and a new concrete and stone stair, repaving of the front yard, new boiler and new cooling/heating HVAC system installation, new electrical and lighting as well as building a high-end brand new modern office space. Professional and responsive, detail oriented and flexible Josh stayed on top of things through the entire project's duration and proved a really valuable asset in bringing the project to a timely and successful completion. Given the opportunity I would have no reservations about working with Gosh Goldstein again and would not hesitate recommending his services to others.

> Josh Goldstein, Architect, remodeled the parlor floor of our 100-year-old rowhouse. We didn't have a huge budget, knew what was important (opening the space and storage), and left the rest up to him. Without pushing us in any stylistic direction or piling on extras that would have broken our bank, Josh gave us an eye-popping renovation that included great storage ideas, unique touches, and an incredibly practical layout that uses all of the space intelligently. His manner is low-key and self-deprecating, which belies all the work he's doing behind the scenes to wrangle permits and contractors. Overall, his work is incredibly customer focused and hands on, which is a great asset in a home renovation.

> Hello
>
> I m Georgio Haliotis from OLYMPIAN BUILDERS. I would like to give a very high recommendation to Mr
> Josh Goldstein. His vision and design are something which I have found to be extrodinary and very efficient to the end user. His ability to help his clients achieve there wants and needs is truly a god given talent. He is very efficient in expediting all phases of plan approval with building dept. & landmarks. I ve worked with him on many projects and once again highly recommend him.

> Extremely satisfied with the service Josh Goldstein provided. He was knowledgeable and helpful during the first phase of our project. Considering we had some very complicated issues with Landmarks and the DOB, he completed every aspect with quick efficiency. He made my job a whole lot easier. Whole heartedly recommend his services!

> I recommend the architect Josh Goldstein, who helped us tremendously with the gut renovation of our 1910s-built home in Brooklyn. From the beginning of the process, he pointed us in the right direction.
> We had been planning to cram our new kitchen into a windowless corner on the ground floor of our home. He suggested we consider relocating the kitchen to the center of the home, and open it up to the living room and dining room. We would have never thought of this, but he reassured us the structural and plumbing changes could be done, and within budget. This made all the difference in the world. We now have a beautiful, sunny kitchen that opens up to the dining room and living room. Whether we are cooking, eating, playing, or relaxing, the family can enjoy each other's company, while still having plenty of space to breathe.
>
> Josh was also able to comfortably work in three bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths on the ground floor (under 900 square feet!), which was critical because the second floor was to be used as a rental. We are very pleased that he was able to salvage and re-use much of the original detailing in the house, such as doors, molding, stair railing, and radiators, freshening them up and integrating them perfectly with the new. He turned a dreary basement into a vibrant playroom and office. He also helped us immeasurably in the construction process, meeting weekly with the GC and ensuring the design proceeded as we wished. There were many minor, unexpected, issues to deal with during construction, which are very common in an old house. I feel some other architect may have gotten lost in the weeds, but Josh was able to address each problem as it arose, while still keeping his sights set on the big picture.
>
> We are ineffably happy with our home. Josh listened to and respected all of our ideas, while offering his own when he saw an opportunity to improve upon the design. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient, and we could not be more pleased with the final result. He really helped us make the most of our space, within our budget and tastes. He is also a pleasure to work with.

  - Description: Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, NY A family wanted to stay put in their beloved neighborhood, but their 2 bedroom apartment was getting too tight. They were on the top floor of their 4 floor walk-up, so the only way to go was up. We built a rooftop addition, adding a master bedroom and bath, exercise space, and new roof deck with beautiful views of downtown Brooklyn. We also fully renovated the main floor, reconfiguring the kitchen by opening up the space to flow with the entrance and Living Room ar…
