> Technical support was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping me select the best Foundation Armor product for my paver application! Placed order on the 4.13.23 and received on 4.17.23 have yet to apply sealer , waiting for weather to reach recommended temperature application limits. It’s great to purchase and support family owned businesses in the USA . Thanks Ken.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What Product line is this?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Pablo, that look can be achieved with a colored epoxy or urethane coating. I like to suggest the UTN60 in medium gray.
Thank you,
Tanya

**Q: can foundation armor SX5000 be applied over latex paint** *(in Product Questions)*

we want to seal basement wall that are brick/motar our walls have 1 coat of latex paint on them.....will this work! thanks

A: Hi! No, none of our products can be applied over latex. The latex paint would have to be removed first.

**Q: Using a five gallon bucket, how much sq.ft can be stained?** *(in Product Questions)*

Doing some renovations at my own home.

A: If the seal only lasted one year and has a chalky look, this is an immediate indicator that the sealer was applied too heavy or you have too many coats of a previous sealer causing the coating to become non-breathable.
Simple fix: Do not apply any more sealer. Instead purchase Xylene (solvent) from you local hardware store/paint store and roll the Xylene on the surface (only in the evening 6:30pm+). This will re-emulsify the acrylic on the surface turning it back into a liquid state, allowing it to resettle and look like brand new!

**Q: Exterior Paint (trim)** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi!

I hate the color of my new house. The paint is in good shape, so I'm thinking I can just change the trim color and change the look/feel of the extrerior. What would look good?

Thanks for your help!

A: I would consider changing the concrete. First, use a penetrating concrete sealer to strengthen and protect the concrete. Then, using a dye, sealer, or paint, bring the concrete to life with a nice design or texture. You can also consider concrete resurfacing. It will change the entire look of your house.

**Q: How to finish this indoor garden project?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Should I include a small lake or just forget the idea?

A: I would fill it with water and flowers then surround it with concrete. I would then put some focus on a ceiling piece or wall art. The below example is inspired by Chinese culture, but it is a beautiful example.

Don't forget to seal the pond first to prevent water leakage: http://www.foundationarmor.com/concrete-sealers/.

**Q: need help for my basement renovation.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

hii.. i am having extreme problems with the walls of my basement. i live in an area that is in depth and it has seepage and mold problems. fortunately my walls doesnot have any seepageor mod now but everytime i paint the walls the paint start to shed off after some time. this problem is in the wall that of dinning and bedroom. what should i do to cover it? can i use paneling of 3 feet to cover them? is it useful? as i would not paint them again:(
