After sharing my concerns with our local distributor they kindly provided me with two large slabs to test at home. Yesterday I finally got around to testing my Neolith Calacatta Ultrasoft and Calacatta Silk slabs! Neolith Finish Options The first pic is the ultrasoft slab and the second pic the silk slab. Starting clockwise from the top, I tested Trader Joe's chili crunch oil, soy sauce, lemon, cooked beet, sriracha, yellow mustard and EVOO. After a little over an 1 hour, both slabs wiped perfectly clean with a Clorox wipe! Later this week I plan to retest with sliced lemon and red wine left sitting overnight. I then used my 12" cast iron pan to pound the surfaces/edges to test for chipping and scratches. Given the countless strings I've read about chipping, I wanted to see how easily the edges would chip. Surprisingly it took quite a bit of effort to chip the edges! It took some really hard pounding before I created small noticeable chips which looked more like dents then chips. I repeated the experiment with a wooden rolling pin and stopped pounding on the edges because I didn't want to damage my wooden rolling pin, lol! The rolling pin created NO DENTS/CHIPS. I then dragged my cast iron pan across my slabs to test for scratching. I was shocked to find fewer scratches on the ultasoft slab than the silk slab! I was able to easily remove the marks with a little bit of liquid Soft Scrub with Bleach (the actual name of the product) using just a paper towel on the ultrasoft slab and a magic eraser and Soft Scrub on the silk slab. I hope others find this information useful! :) A: We installed Neolith on backsplash and kitchen counters recently and while we love the way it looks....the counters are now chipped. This is not a high use house it' s a second home but either way, this should not be happening. We probably have about 6-7 very obvious chips around sink and on counter edge and it bothers me everything I look at it. I am very disappointed. Trying to get in touch with installer to repair but - it's there. **Q: Would you recommend Neolith for kitchen countertops?** *(in Kitchens)* Hi, we are super interested to use Neolith Estatuario for our kitchen countertop. We feel that it looks and feel better than Quartz. However, worried about chipping and other durability problems. Has anyone had direct experience with Neolith and would you recommend it? No doubt expensive, interested to hear how it holds up with the foam core wrapped in down and goose feathers. concerned it might go pretty limp with time and begin to get uncomfortable - perhaps this could be avoided with a more durable material as the cover (eg. army duck as opposed to the belgian linen), any and all thoughts/experience appreciated! A: We just had ours delivered last week \[that and a custom bench\] made by Monarch , we had fallen in love with the Cloud but not the price \[or the quality\], and found Monarch through houzz. The sofa is beautiful, as is the bench, and although we have not yet really used the items \[it's a second home\], the quality seems superb. We did our own high performance Revolution fabric on both sofa and bench. Highly recommend. **Q: Candle** *(in Product Questions)* What is biggest candle I can put in here?
