## About

Based in Bozeman, Montana and established in 1989, Bayliss Architects, P.C. is an innovative architectural firm dedicated to providing high-quality residential design services.

We get excited when a client shares their dream with us because it is our goal to make the dream physical. We believe that communication is the most important part of the architectural process. We listen and help the client with their vision throughout the project's development while keeping in mind the physical limitations of a structure. It is through good communication that a successful project is completed.

Our company is continuously influenced and fueled by the nature around us, the creative cohesiveness of our team, and the relationships we develop with our clients as they dream. We create homes that accent the landscape in which they sit.

## Community Q&A

**Q: how well does wood paneling up to a chair rail need to match the floor** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I do not feel they must match. Usually attempting to match two stains (usually one is existing and the other new) is very difficult. Age of the stain and wood species make matching a very challenging endeavor. Complimenting colors may be a way to think about the two. Have samples of both the paneling and the floor, put various stains on them and see what works together. Having a couple pieces of the paneling and flooring to work with is key. Actually in the picture above we have several different stains and species of wood all happening in the same space. Thank you for your question, Carolyn.

**Q: The sink...where did you get the sink?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for the question. This was an antique find from the client that we were able to integrate into the project.
