**Q: Do I need a wet bar close to the kitchen?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

What to do. Half wall with cabinets on dinette side?  Make a wet bar next to dinette area. I need to decide. Help.

A: Putting the cabinets in for any use gives you added options. Wet bar, baking station, coffee counter with cookie jar... The point is, the space will be useful, as extra storage always is, and you need not be a daily drinker to have a wet bar. When I have company, the coffee maker gets set up there with dessert ,whether or not alcohol is consumed. A few cabinets are not going to make cleaning labour intensive.

**Q: Need suggestions for built in bookcases** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm decorating  our small family room and need help pulling it together.  The main wall paint is Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter and the accent (TV)  wall is Chelsea Gray.   I need ideas for decorating the bookcases - around a large TV and bookcase speakers.  Also any ideas for small scale side table for chair on the left would be helpful.  Any thoughts?

A: Speakers can be the Bain of any decorator. A simple project I have used in the past is to create a box, much like a gift box, but covered with fabric that accents your decor. Before you attach the fabric to your box, cut the box open where the speaker sound comes out and the fabric will cover the hole but allow perfect sound to pass through. We used varying sizes and shapes in a room that had 7 speakers total. It was nice to disguise some. Just a thought. I really liked the mirror idea for the back of your shelves, just keep in mind the backs of items will be reflected.

Should I keep the legs exposed on the range or cover with the solid stainless steel toe kick they provide ?

**Q: Pumpkin or light green as a new wall paint in the kitchen?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

It's time to repaint my kitchen. We have cherry cabinets, a black and white speckled granite counter, and stainless steel appliances. It is currently a sage green. I am leaning towards a pumpkin color that has brown in it (similar to the pumpkin in the curtain), or a lighter mint green. Everything I've read says that yellow goes well with cherry cabinets, but I really hate yellow. I do have collectibles that hang on the wall as seen in this picture. Any opinions? Thank you!

A: Well, pictures of natural cherry wood cabinets seem to be rare, I found a couple. Some might think I was suggesting a true purple plum, but moreso a tone from the reds family that best went with the cabinets. Attached are a few pics, colour cards, and a fun change up idea for a new colour. For those who change colours easily and often, you have little to lose. The last pic attached looks sunny, bright and fun and a nice backdrop for collections.
