## About

Silverlight Design Studio, LLC is a Seattle-based home staging and redesign company serving the greater Seattle metro and Puget Sound surrounding area in the state of Washington.

As the founder and lead home stager of Silverlight Design, my mission is to highlight the best features of your home thru using strategical selection of color, artworks and furnishing. My goal is to create a first impression that wows the potential buyers, and get you the top dollar and sell your home fast.

Many people ask me why staging a home is important. With so many homes for sales, you want to make sure yours stands apart. Buyers want to be able to envision themselves in the homes they are looking at. My experience has taught me why certain looks sell and I can help you to maximize your profit by making your home more desirable to buyers.

Here at Silverlight Design Studio, I will style your home to attract a wide variety of buyers. **★★★★★ — Glen sung, July 2018**

> I am a real estate agent and have worked with many staggers before, Cecily is by far the best stagger I have ever had. She has great artistic skills for creating an ordinary space into extraordinary.
> Cecily is very dedicated to meet deadlines and willing to listen for her client's expectations. I highly recommend her to everyone.

**★★★★★ — Steven Li - Architect Realtor, April 2018**

> I'm a real estate agent in Seattle and had referred Cecily to my clients who were selling their home. She did an awesome job making the home shine, while still look comfortable and lived in. The fully-staged listing photos popped and attracted dozens of potential buyers to the open houses. Her fees were very reasonable and she was willing to accommodate my seller's change in closing schedule. I would be glad to use her staging services again and would not hesitate to refer her to future clients.

**★★★★★ — Deborah Woollen, Dec. 2017**

> Silverlight was on point for pricing and presentation for our Seattle flip! This was a long, hard flip and the staging made our every corner of our rehab sing! Thank you Cecily for your professionalism and flexibility. I will certainly call with future projects.

**★★★★★ — Jason Hong, April 2015**

> Cecily did an excellent job for me. I compared several staging company and they give me the lowest quote. While the price is low, the service is very good. She makes the home looks really nice and the home gets offers at the day listed and we have mutual agreement in 3 days. The buyer agent even ask me for the staging company's name ;)

## Community Q&A

**Q: Family Room Dilemma** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I recently got 2 chairs for our family room but now that they have arrived, I don't think they match. I had planned to get a couple of tables...a small end table for the sectional, and was thinking of a round table for between the two new chairs. Then I'll put things on the wall (yes I realize it looks bare). I'm not sure if adding tables and things on the wall will help to put it all together, or if the chairs will still not look right. I'm not sure if it is just the colour (more pure grey vs. a taupe-grey), or if they are too tall. I like the chairs and we chose them because they were comfortable to sit in and you could rest your head on the back when watching TV (vs. lower chairs that you had to sit upright in, or slouch down in). It is a family room so we don't want it too formal. Any suggestions would be great. Should I keep or sell the chairs? Should I get them re-upholstered (not sure if this is an option as could be too expensive)? Or will tables, pillows, accessories etc. help pull it all together?
Any suggestions on additions/changes to the items on the built-in shelves is also welcome.
Once I have accessories/walls/chairs sorted I plan to get a different chair for the computer...

A: Love the chairs, they are beautiful. I agree on the color scheme of gray and yellow, add a couple of bright color pillows and a throw on the sectional may work. The room is gray on gray, it looks like it needs something bright and metallic on the wall behind the chair, I would hang a good size mirror there. Putting a small end table between the chairs is not only functional but also give a more complete look.

**Q: Need help with living room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm currently redecorating my living room around the art work shown. I just purchased the sectional now I'm having trouble on what type of curtains, rug and coffee table I should get. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A: I would put a good size square shape coffee table. I also like leelee's idea of a clear temper glass/lucite table, to tie in with modern feel of the art piece. The red curtains are nice, but what about curtain with orange color in it, less intense so it won't compete with the painting as a focal point.

**Q: My guestroom remodel. Boring hodgepodge to quirky farmhouse.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Would love opinions!

A: What a great transformation! I'm in love with your room. I would leave the cords the way they are, the look fits the room. This room is refreshing. You have lots of innovative ideas and good taste. Love your sense of humor too. You'll make a great designer. Can't wait to see your other room make-over.
