Long-time Jersey City resident Joe Shoback started Hudson Home Improvement in 2008, after renovating his own home and struggling to find a dependable contractor. Determined to provide Hudson County residents with reliable and high-level remodeling services, Joe assembled a team of skilled and licensed professionals to create modern and well-crafted bathrooms, kitchens and more. For several years, Joe has worked with the same team of talented licensed contractors who each have their own remodeling specialty, whether it’s carpentry, plumbing or sheetrock.

It was done with framing, roofing, complete bathroom remodel, heated floors, picture windows, computer networking and built in bookcases. They worked very well and everything is done in time and within the budget. Joe pre-planned the project perfectly, thus, the necessary deliveries and supplies were already at a ready stage. This is something they really understood what the building departments were after and we did not have any handicapping of the inspections because of this. > I recently purchased a condo and needed to get significant work done before moving in. I needed someone who could manage the entire project for me, as I didn't have the time to deal with multiple contractors, due to my work schedule. After interviewing many contractors and remodeling specialists, I was immediately impressed with my first conversation with Joe Shoback, the owner of Hudson Home Improvement. Unlike so many other professionals I had spoken with (and dealt with on a home improvement project I had done on a house I owned), Joe's project management skills from his days working in Finance were apparent right away. His approach was methodical and thorough, as he assessed the work I needed done and prepared the project scope. He assured me that his methodology for scoping the project would prevent unnecessary price changes by completion, i.e. I could remain confident that I would pay what he quoted. And he was absolutely right. The work was completed exactly on time and on budget, give or take some $$, due to additional items I added to the scope as the project was underway.

We had weekly checkin conference calls, which included his team.
