The fact they don't manage the hardscape work and presented a design that was not within the budget shows their complete lack of professionalism and maturity. **Comment from Professional Outdoor Perspective:** > The decision to not move forward with this particular landscape project was made with a tremendous amount of consideration. After multiple meetings with the client, at their future residence, that still is not legally in their possession, and many hours developing a landscape design, our free estimate has devoured more than twenty plus hours of investment time. Including, landscape renderings, client input and changes to renderings, drive time, and hardscape sub contracting. > As business owners who posses all the required licenses, insurance, etc., to complete landscape projects from start to finish, we focus on what we know best. We specialize in plant material that is low maintenance, requires low water input, and the elimination of weekly gardeners being present at any given location. We have over twenty years experience with this approach to residential and commercial landscapes. Darren Chard, owner/partner, takes great pride in the fact that he possesses a Bachelors of Science degree in Landscape Horticulture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. > So when it comes to any kind of concrete work, we refer it to professionals who are established and licensed. We take a transparent approach to all sub contracting, and do not incur financial gain from said referrals. Pop landscaping introduces known contractors with our prospective clients, and let them deal directly, both monetarily and personally throughout the project. We do not take a cut of money of any work not preformed by us, ever. This approach is both ethical and feasible because the sub contractors we work with refer landscape projects to us in return. We stick to what we do best. We applied these business principals to this individual's landscape project. > We met with this individual on multiple occasions, at her future residence, and came up with a viable and sustainable landscape installation plan. The moment we realized that their landscape budget was no longer feasible, cut to one third of the original budget due to concrete work being sub contracted, we made the business decision to not move forward with the prospective project.
