I can't remember a time when they didn't show when they said they were going to. > > Keith also did a small remodel on my indoor kitchen, by installing new appliances (to include conversion from electric to propane cooktop), new granite and backsplash, and refurbishing our kitchen cabinets. As a matter of fact, my husband wanted to install all new cabinets and Keith convinced him that by just refurbishing the beautiful oak cabinets that we have, we could save thousands of dollars. Within the first 30 days, we presented a list of maintenance items to be addressed. Some of them were taken care of, some of them were not. As time went on, we discovered other more serious items - some were maintenance issues and other were quality issues. These were also presented but ignored. The VA backs our mortgage and requires that he provide a one year warranty. They reached out to the builder on our behalf and has refused to address them still. > > We have been totally disappointed with our purchase and now that he's building a home next door we've come to find that what he told us when we purchased the home isn't true. > > We had a nice view off our back porch and he told us that he would preserve this view because of where the new home was going to be built, it wouldn't impede our view. Well as the foundation is now being put in place, I find that hard to believe since it's way further back than he indicated when selling us our home. It appears that he won't support the home after the sale. We even found some sub-par work with the painting of our home that he wasn't willing to correct. > > For this reason I would highly recommend that you not purchase a home from JKD since you will be on your own after purchase. > > We have had some issues repaired by the subs but again on the major issues that really mean something, he doesn't stand behind his work. It actually makes no sense. If a subcontractor performed the work, then that sub should be held accountable for the work and have to fix their mistakes. Just doesn't make sense as to why he wouldn't make his sub's warranty their work. > > Very disappointed with the whole sale and the lack of attention from him. > > He should have been the one to contact the subs, not us. That's his job as builder.
