After finding her through online research, I decided to hire her to create and design the garden in my property, a large area on a hill that at the time was covered in weeds and dying trees. I wanted something that felt vibrant, organic, and diverse, and that matched the design of my mid-century house on the property. We liked her thorough approach, as well as the obvious joy she has for making yards more beautiful and livable. We had some ideas about our space that we relayed to Catherine. She came to us with a completely different design that reset and exceeded our expectations. The backyard includes a custom stone fire pit (looks great!), a dining area, a grill area, a succulent garden, a butterfly garden, a grassy area, and a kids play area. Our backyard is not that big, but the space is now perfectly utilized for much greater functionality. Our front yard has always been a challenge as we have a large, mature tree that allows for almost no sunlight.
