I considered wallpaper but was worried that in such a small space a repeating pattern would look too busy. I looked for some ideas on Houzz and stumbled upon Tamara's website. I loved how delicate and intricate her work was so I took the plunge and hired her to create a mural. It is the best decision I ever made. She came and inspected the room before it was stripped and then came back with a bunch of different ideas when the walls were ready to be painted. I wanted something reminiscent of a blooming cherry tree and she found several different Japanese-style designs to choose from. We discussed in detail how it should look and she steered me away from ideas that she knew would not work well. She then painted the mural, which is very intricate and includes two lovely little birds, in just three days. In addition to being beautiful, the tree creates an illusion of depth that makes the room look a lot bigger than it actually is. Under the direction of my father the home was modernized removed the wall between the living room, dining room and kitchen. Which was all transformed beautifully. We also added a family room which 16 by 24 because of expense I did get the job totally completed, my father wanted to have built in bookcase anchor the gas fireplace. I know have the capital to complete the project ( my father has passed) and I don't have a true vision of how high bookcase should go if I should put flank stone around fireplace ect I need ideas.
