In addition to doing great work, Brothers also excels in an area most contractors fall short, communication. Alex was the general contractor for the remodeling project which was of significant size. Previously to this engagement I had no prior relationship with Alex and Brothers Renovations. He came highly referenced by my realtor. The scope of the remodeling involved window replacements, wall removal, massive header spanning a large area, hardwood floors refinished, cabinets painted, entire interior of house painted, kitchen floor tiled, laundry room floor tiled, front foyer tiled, new lights in the kitchen, and all of my appliances installed. The project took about 8 weeks and involved work crews of carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers, and a structural engineer at a budget of just over $40,000. While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Alex’s services as a general contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Alex top marks for the quality of work performed which was consistently top notch. Alex used subcontractors who were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications, and their work product rarely needed improvement or revision. They had an old school work ethic and work habits. The project management and coordination that Alex provided showed a deep prior experience working in construction. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without missing a beat.
