His sub improperly installed a toilet creating overflow, leaking up through a newly installed floor and a bacterial nightmare, but instead of immediately fixing the problem, he refused and said I would have to deal with it and that he didn't want the liability in the event it failed a second time! This was on a Friday afternoon before a major holiday weekend and almost 7 hours after having been made aware of the issue. His sub created the problem and he refused to reseat the toilet while we waited for one week with a partially covered sewage hole in our floor waiting to find a plumber who wasn't busy enough to reseat the toilet properly. The smell was awful. JD could have called his plumber and sent me the bill, but refused to do so. Unfortunately, it didn't stop there. They 'pocket-holed' some molding that was done incorrectly which caused severe bulging through the wood. When he was told that I wouldn't accept the damaged molding, he used it anyway. Now we have to pay to have it replaced. He failed to oversee the protection of wood floors in a room in my house in which they stored and constantly moved construction equipment, tools and materials in and out. At the end of 3 months, the floors were so badly damaged that they needed to be sanded, stained and poly'd but he refused to do it. When given a list of unresolved work that had to be completed, and summarizing numerous issues outstanding, he became very angry and walked off the job, but not before making a horrible scene in my driveway and becoming verbally abusive, vulgar and scaring me. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this man. > > I have bought, sold and renovated close to half a dozen homes around the country whose remodeling budgets were $30,000.00 to well over $500,000.00, and I have never had a contractor be abusive and disrespectful. The men and women I have worked with have come back to help me with additional odds n' end projects, after completion, for years and have always been professional. I was shocked by Justin's outburst behavior and refusal to be accountable.
