Experts also charge more for installing this stuff just because they know how hard it is to work with. Their website states that it "comes with up to 32 unique planks within one decor". The retailer didn't know how many unique planks there were and we got no response from contacting AtroGuard. We took a chance on it and are disappointed. There are exactly 16 unique planks in Cabin Wood - 8 of the medium width and 4 each of the wider and narrower widths. The pattern on several of the planks is so striking that repeats are beyond obvious. There are not enough differing planks to successfully ensure that the same plank pattern is not in close proximity to itself. The pattern on the planks do not change and they are designed to fit ONLY one way so they cannot be reversed or cut to help vary the pattern. Also, there were often duplicates within a single box further limiting variation. The picture is deceptive as well. It shows more than one plank in a mirrored/reversed position which is NOT possible! With a 160 pound Mastiff we needed something really, really tough. We needed a flooring that was both scratch resistant and near waterproof for Mastiff's drool a lot after drinking.
