James established the company in 2002 under the cooperate name Carter Urban Design Ltd, but now operates under the name James Carter Design. Over the years he has produced dozens of original custom designs. With diverse experience ranging from architectural design to residential construction, you can be assured that he will always produce house plans of the highest quality, regardless of the complexity of your project.

James is not only an experienced architectural designer, but also brings an array of residential construction experience to the table, including: construction management, project management, estimating, general contracting, and lead-hand construction.

Ultimately our goal is to create high quality homes appropriate to their settings while at the same time being extremely functional. 

To ensure our client’s needs are satisfied we constantly invite our clients to participate and provide input during the design process.  After all, it’s our job to make our client’s dream a reality!

Creativity is achieved through a combination of our appreciation and understanding of architectural, as well as the input obtained through brainstorming sessions with the client. 

The style of our buildings is as unique as our clients. With each new client a new dream becomes reality. Expect style and class that will not fade with the ages.
