> I hired Heidi to take on a breakfast nook cushions and she was very helpful and provided me links to various online fabric sellers. Once I made my choice on the fabric, she ordered it and then worked with the measurement provided and delivered results that was amazing.

> Heidi has completed three cushion covers for me and all have been fabulous! She washed the material ahead of time to prevent future shrinking. She is very quick and exact with her orders. I will definitely use her again in the future and have referred multiple friends.

## Community Q&A

**Q: which is nicer pink or green?** *(in Home Decorating)*

Hi which color do you prefer for my bedroom’s living room(homey cottage vibe)

A: Pink

**Q: Happy National Dog Day** *(in Home Decorating Conversations)*

My precious granddog Otis.

A: My precious Duncan.

**Q: Shipping questions for those who sell items from home** *(in Home Decorating Conversations)*

I am getting rid of my Mackenzie-Childs collection--not all, just one pattern (Courtly Check). Evidently, there is a large market for this vintage pattern and I've joined several FB groups dedicated to buying and selling this brand. My first choice is to do local sales but that may severely limit my ability to find buyers. In many of the posts, the seller will say "add shipping and paypal fees". So my question is do you charge them once you do all the packing and get rate from say, UPS? Do people get sticker shock from postage quotes and change their mind? Also, if people know the size and weight of the object (easily researched) and my zip code, can they figure out the shipping fees?

Here's the collection for reference:
They are made of heavy gauge steel with a handpainted enamel glaze over it. (To give you an idea of value, the bowls sell, used, for $40 each, minimum. That ladle sells for $150/new. Most of it has been at my summer cottage just taking up space.

Thanks!

A: I ship by USPS all my items. I have to say that I have shipped over 1,500 items successfully, (knock on wood), by Priority Mail, with no problems. A few items have been delayed beyond the Priority Mail ship dates, but that's all.

**Q: Area on the Gulf with Hilton Head type feel?** *(in Home Decorating Conversations)*

We have been vacationing in HHI for the past several years. We enjoy the walkability of it and enjoy riding bikes to get to various activities.
I do not love the Atlantic. We went to the Emerald Coast last fall and my DH realized what I was talking about. The warm crystal clear blue water of the Gulf.
So what are areas on the Gulf that have the small town type feel of HHI? We are nearing retirement and looking for some new vacation spots to check out. Not sure if I could ever leave the kids and grands and move , but who knows?

A: Recently visited the Freeport area where my son just built a new home. The panhandle areas are a refreshing change from more commercial beach areas. We loved the old style quaintness of the beach areas near there and Panama City. Since there are state parks in this area, residential and commercial growth is more restricted and this leads to less traffic, commercialism and quiet beaches with tropical color. Seaside and areas close to there were absolutlely lovely, and after living next door to Hilton Head Island for 30 years, I relished the simplicity, quiet and lack of highrise condominiums!

**Q: Standards the world needs** *(in Home Decorating Conversations)*

Share yours!
Mine is sheet sizes. I think we need an easy-to-see indicator of sheet size. Maybe a standard color of thread for the hem. Purple for king, pink for queen, green for full, blue for xlong twin, yellow for twin. Or PRINT the size, tone on tone if you want to be subtle, around the perimeter. ANYTHING so that you don’t have to unfold the sheet. At the bare minimum, print it on the tag, but the tag often gets folded to the inside where you can’t see it. I mean, if they can size frozen pizza boxes to fit the side-by-side freezer, sheets should be easy.
(In case it isn’t obvious, I’m collecting up the bedlinens from around the house. How they get so scattered, I don’t know.)
What standards do you need to see?

A: The hair dryer trick is fantastic for removing any labels! I reuse nearly all my cardboard boxes for my business, and removing the old label so I can apply a new shipping label is a must. So easy with the hair dryer, they just peel right off!

**Q: Creating symmetry** *(in Home Decorating)*

When I first looked at this pic I didn't notice the sofa/art weren't centered on the wall,
but IMO, I think the plant helps gives it symmetry
I've seen that ? here many times - Do I center on wall or do I ....

A: The sofa is centered on the rug, however. This helps to add to the illusion of symmetry.
