They took the time to understand what we wanted to create and the things that were important to us. We absolutely love the outcome. If I had to work with them again I would not hesitate. Stuart was brilliant in his reinvention of the master suite, disturbing the exterior as little as possible, but utilizing every window to the fullest. Our goals were to improve the flow of the house, open up the kitchen/family room to reflect modern tastes, give each of the bedrooms its own bathroom and ample closets, make the basement welcoming and functional, while retaining the character of the original architecture. Stuart did all of that and more. Costs were difficult to estimate in advance, as discoveries were made as interior demolition progressed. > > At the same time that we were remodeling this house, we began designing a new residence in the same neighborhood with Stuart Silk Architects. After 18 months, we sought bids on this design and chose a contractor that we had used previously. The resulting 8000 sq ft house is perfect in every detail, bright and airy with excellent flow, meeting all of our goals. The details are exquisite.
