We view each project as an extension of our client's individual personality and lifestyle. We listen to your ideas and preferences. We analyze and inventory the positive and adverse features of your home and property. Only then can we design a detailed, master plan for your project - every facet of which is supervised by a company partner. We have in-house certified and licensed landscape architects that look at the yard as one plan. We think outside the box to synchronize all of the existing conditions and the customers wants and needs into one concept. We factor in sun angles, privacy, drainage and slope, and architectural style or theme. We design from the inside out by creating site view from key rooms in the house. We look at how the house and garden become one by relating all interior elements to exterior elements. A garden is just as important from inside, as a sculptural element, as it is when you are out there utilizing the space. At Marquise Pools, we can design the entire project: Hardscape and Pool Design, Landscape, Drainage, Irrigation, Lighting, Decks, Summer Kitchens, Cabanas, and Pergolas. Call or email Marquise Pools today and allow us to share some fresh ideas with you. We can then discuss preparing a design and quotation for you. If you like, we can introduce you to some of our customers and provide a tour of some pools we have built in your area. Don't settle for a cookie-cutter design. It doesn't cost any more to have a great custom pool you can be proud of. ### Services Provided - Landscape Design - Garden Design - Hardscaping - Landscape Plans - Patio Design - Site Planning - Custom Fire Pits - Pool Landscaping - Custom Water Features - Swimming Pool Design - Gazebo Design & Construction - Outdoor Lighting Design - Deck Design - 3D Rendering - Drafting - Pond Construction - Deck Building - Masonry Construction & Repair - Trellis & Pergola Construction ### Areas Served - The Woodlands - Conroe - Spring - Shenandoah - Oak Ridge North - Magnolia ### Typical Job Cost $65,000 - 5 million ## Business Details | Field | Value | | --- | --- | | Business Name | Marquise Pools | | Address | 27326 Robinson Road, St 221, Oak Ridge, Texas 77385, United States | | Phone | (281) 296-7946 | | Website | http://www.marquisepools.com | | License Number | TBAE \# 2185 | | Followers on Houzz | 327 | **Social profiles:** - Facebook — http://www.facebook.com/pages/wwwmarquisepoolscom/163066260101 - LinkedIn — https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=31067274&trk=nav\_responsive\_tab\_profile\_pic ## Contact - **Houzz profile:** [Marquise Pools](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/landscape-architects-and-landscape-designers/marquise-pools-pfvwus-pf~1703058093) - **Website:** http://www.marquisepools.com - **Phone:** (281) 296-7946 ## Credentials **Certifications & Awards** - APSP International Award Recipeints- 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012APSP Top 50 national builder recipient, Ranked 20th nationallyLuxuary Pools, Pinnacle Award Recipient, 2012 only 4 awarded nationallyRecently Hosted the New 2013 HGTV series Cool Poolswill air in Feb of 2013 - **Best of Houzz:** 6 awards (2014–2018), for Service, Design. ## Reviews **Overall rating: 5.0 out of 5 — 28 reviews** ### Reviews **★★★★★ — Jon Hustmyre, June 2020** > Marquise took on an ambitious project that included an outdoor living area, pool, landscape and an interior room remodel. Marquise was very professional and provided timely updates to the project and they were open and easy to work with when it came to changes and creating solutions. The Marquise team and contractors provided quality work and the results were amazing. I would recommend reaching out to Marquise to discuss your project! **Comment from Marquise Pools:** > Jon, We enjoyed building your amazing Project. Thank you for the review. **★★★★★ — Jason Warden, April 2020** > Chris and his team did a great job consulting with us to build the pool of our dreams. He was very professional and was great with every detail and the project turned out fantastic. Almost a year from completion we could not be more pleased with the work. He was fair, honest, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to build a quality pool. **Comment from Marquise Pools:** > Thank You Jason for the review. We enjoyed creating the pool of your dreams. Hope you enjoy the pool for many years. **★★★★★ — Hanh Bui, March 2020** > Marquise Pool is a true professional trustworthy full service pool builder and landscaping firm. We interviewed onsite 3 different pool companies all highly recommended. We are very happy we selected Marquise. The owners Chris Smith, a skillful reputable licensed architecture, and Greg Wilson (in charge of the entire build process) would not rest until we were 100% satisfied with our pool, Half court basketball, outdoor kitchen, back yard landscaping and solid cedar pergola. Their integrity is second to none. Marquise stands behind their products and consider each project as their own child. Greg pointed out to us things we didn’t know to ask for for our pool such as extra steps on the side of the deep end, small steps into the jacuzzi... build it as such without adding extra cost. The price quote is the full service price for the entire project and it is reasonable. Their is no surprised added cost later on. The contract is transparent and specific without the “fine print”. The entire company from their office staff to their employees and contractors are knowledgeable, professional and responsive. They clean up every day before they leave. Marquise takes care of our property as if it was their own. Chris and Greg are passionate about their work and it shows in the backyards and pools they design and build. **★★★★★ — snurfes, March 2020** > The blending of pool and property are complementary too each other. > > Chris Smith is a creative artist in addition to pool developer. > > Trust that he places his best interest in your needs. > > Greg also does a great job. Greg is the nuts and bolts of the operation. > > Each partner has their own role that comes together well > > The beautiful finished product is only something you can get from Marquis > > It is worth the investment !!! I enjoy our masterpiece every day > > A genuine customer > > Rich S **★★★★★ — Teresa Church, March 2020** > Highly recommend! We were looking for a small pool to enjoy in the warm months without a lot of maintenance. Marquise made the whole process so easy, they walked us through the design and installation every step of the way. Their attention to detail and high quality materials are top notch. The end result was beautiful! **★★★★★ — ksgwin, March 2020** > Marquise Pools will not disappoint! I am a second time Marquise customer and will call them again if I ever need another pool. Their creativity, keen attention to detail and impeccable work standards are superior. My pool redo and new cabana are perfect. I enjoyed working with Greg, Chris and the entire Marquise family. They are great! **★★★★★ — tcraig1629, March 2020** > Marquise Pools was a joy to work with. They had great design ideas and kept up good communication. The installers were on time and very clean and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to build a quality pool. **Comment from Marquise Pools:** > Thank you Tammy for the review. It was a pleasure working with you and your husband creating your beautiful backyard. **★★★★★ — HU-678371624, March 2020** > I LOVE my pool design! They captured everything my family wanted. They turned my boring backyard into a oasis. I’m actually laying out poolside as I’m writing this review. And having a designer help you pick the pool products and paint colors is an added bonus. Would recommend to anyone wanting to put a pool in. **★★★★★ — HU-735616495, March 2020** > Marquise did an excellent job from start to finish on our pool. The design was exactly what we were looking for and the building process was executed smoothly. We have been enjoying our pool for two years now and wouldn’t change a thing! **★★★★★ — shosy, July 2017** > I truly hope anyone looking to build a spectacular pool and landscape setting to enhance their daily lives, will consider Marquise Pools. From the very beginning, the design and production expertise were spot on. Our desire for a show stopper outdoor living space challenged everyone from design to engineering. And, Marquise Pools rose to that challenge at every point. We have an "Event to see" in our backyard. Just calling it a pool is an insult to how much quality of life this space brings to the table. Do yourself a favor, chat with them about your dream space, it will be worth every minute of your time. **Comment from Marquise Pools:** > You are awesome to work with, and wow will the project be awesome as well, and it is an "Event to see" and "experience" !! **★★★★★ — Matt H, April 2017** > Amazing work and best design of all the companies we interviewed. But nothing compared to the superior customer service. Always thinking of the customer, caring about the work, and making this the best part of our project. **★★★★★ — Ashley Sampson, April 2017** > I highly recommend Marquise Pools, we were happy with the company and their work every step of the process. They have wonderful employees and finish quality work (on time!). We couldn't have asked for a better experience. ## Selected projects - [The Ultimate Outdoor Entertaining Experience](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-ultimate-outdoor-entertaining-experience-pj-vj~3446987) - Location: Center, TX - Photos: 6 - Description: Complete Transformation which included the following features: -Chipping Green -Putting Green -In Ground trampoline -Tower with slide -Spa -pool -Ledge Loungers -Fire pit -sitting areas -Landscape -outdoor lighting - [High Meadow Ranch Front Photo Shoot](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/high-meadow-ranch-front-photo-shoot-pj-vj~1397984) - Location: Tomball, TX - Photos: 11 - [The 20 Acre Resort in High Meadow Ranch](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-20-acre-resort-in-high-meadow-ranch-pj-vj~1377218) - Location: The Woodlands, TX - Photos: 13 - [The Modern Pool with French Quarter Facades](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-modern-pool-with-french-quarter-facades-pj-vj~1377212) - Location: The Woodlands, TX - Photos: 7 - [Completely Enclosed Courtyard Pool](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/completely-enclosed-courtyard-pool-pj-vj~965664) - Location: The Woodlands, TX - Photos: 5 - [Outdoor Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/outdoor-kitchen-pj-vj~3447035) - Location: Spring, TX - Photos: 1 - [Woodlands Reverse Negative Edge Pool](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/woodlands-reverse-negative-edge-pool-pj-vj~608015) - Location: The Woodlands, TX - Photos: 3 - [The Terraced Water Dream](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-terraced-water-dream-pj-vj~122256) - Location: Bellaire, TX - Photos: 5 - [Grottos](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/grottos-pj-vj~123467) - Location: The Woodlands, TX - Photos: 6 - [The Formal Natural Mix](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-formal-natural-mix-pj-vj~123276) - Location: The Woodlands, TX - Photos: 5 - [The Lazy River Texas Hill Country Style](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-lazy-river-texas-hill-country-style-pj-vj~607956) - Location: Tomball, TX - Photos: 5 - [Maymont](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/maymont-pj-vj~71037) - Location: The Woodlands, TX - Photos: 8 - [THE MIX](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-mix-pj-vj~123318) - Location: The Woodlands, TX - Photos: 9 - [The Silver Medal Winner APSP 2012](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-silver-medal-winner-apsp-2012-pj-vj~123288) - Location: The Woodlands, TX - Photos: 3 - [Some Of Our Designs](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/some-of-our-designs-pj-vj~123536) - Location: Spring, TX - Photos: 23 [See all 15 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/landscape-architects-and-landscape-designers/marquise-pools-pfvwus-pf~1703058093) ## Ideabooks - [Bars-Man Caves-Entertaining Venues](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/24179403/list/bars-man-caves-entertaining-venues) — 7 ideas - [Grottos and Hidden Spots](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/67982874/list/grottos-and-hidden-spots) — 2 ideas - [zbestpools's ideas](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/5786390/list/zbestpools-s-ideas) — 13 ideas - [drawings and compositions](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/39710956/list/drawings-and-compositions) — 1 idea - [Outdoor Furniture and Accents](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/11500214/list/outdoor-furniture-and-accents) — 11 ideas - [Steinberg Front Project](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/6667048/list/steinberg-front-project) — 5 ideas - [contemporary blends](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/22037297/list/contemporary-blends) — 2 ideas - [cliff justice look at this](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/11500609/list/cliff-justice-look-at-this) — 2 ideas - [Outdoor Media](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/17274976/list/outdoor-media) — 2 ideas [See all 9 ideabooks](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/users/zbestpools) ## Community Q&A **Q: How was the pool deck constructed? What are the materials used? Thanks** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Sorry for delay ! This is Lightstreams glass tile out of California, the deck is ivory travertine in Versailles pattern, the sub deck is engineered concrete, with some parts gunite to achieve the cantilevers. **Q: What stone was used for the copping and also for the flatscape. Thank** *(in Photo Questions)* I'm rebuilding my back yard with a curved pool. It's not a large back yard but by Marin County Ca. I suppose it is. However, some landscape architects have recommended a rectangular pool. Is it odd for me to feel that a rectangular pool has a more rigid appeal. My current pool is 50' x24' at the widest. Wide at the shallow and deeps end than narrowing in the middle.Gentle curves. Will the same size pool rectangularly "take over " the softness of the back yard which is predominantly grass and trees? I've to make a decision pretty darn quick. I like the curved soft aspect but what's a pro say? Thank you, Jean, from Tiburon Ca A: Which is why many times we do not limit our clients to choosing either a total free form pool versus a rectilinear pool, we like hybrid designs that combine both straight lines and curves **Q: What kind of tile is this and where can you get it?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Light Streams Tile out of California **Q: Are you taking anymore projects?** *(in Photo Questions)* . A: Always, please send me your info via message and I will contact you, Thanks Chris **Q: baja step** *(in Photo Questions)* how deep is the water on that Baja step? A: It is 6" of water **Q: where is this house located** *(in Photo Questions)* A: It is in the Woodlands Texas --- *Source: Houzz professional profile. Reflects the profile as of 2026-11-07.*
