**★★★★★ — condor23, March 2015**

> Our project was a near total rebuild of a small home well situated in a beautiful yard. We bought the property because of the location without really having a plan to make it fit our needs. We wanted a design that embraced the scenic backyard and emphasized quality of space over quantity. The project had to be cost effective and practical for a family of four which includes two small children.
> Marina quickly put together an initial floor plan that totally blew us away - it satisfied all our requirements/constraints with an elegant simplicity. Things just got better from there. She worked tirelessly to continue to improve upon the design, giving equal importance to both form and function. We relied on her expertise in prefab construction techniques to help control the cost. Her vision was clear and decisive but she always listened sincerely to our comments and adapted to our needs. From early sketches to construction quality control and contingency management she was there for us from start to finish, all for a reasonable fee. The end result is a dramatic and efficient design that well exceeded our dreams.

**★★★★★ — dirisamer, Aug. 2014**

> Marina redesigned our master bedroom, bathroom and patio. She did an awesome job both in terms of the initial design and in terms of managing the project. We strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a great architect.
>
> Marina found creative solutions to many tricky design problems and meticulously supervised the implementation of her ideas. Her rates are very reasonable; if fact, given her extraordinary skills, hiring her was a bargain.

**★★★★★ — marinada13, June 2014**

> Marina is an excellent professional, very personable, who will reflect on her work your specific needs.
> She is quick to provide drawings and different options for you to choose from, and her fees are reasonable. We would recommend her 100%!

## Community Q&A

**Q: What are the dimensions for the top of the butcher block island?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I really like the proportions and cant tell if it's square or slightly rectangular

A: Glad you like island proportions. The island top is about 33"x63"

**Q: What is the species/stain/manufacturer of the floor please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

It's a beautiful rich color that doesn't compete with the walnut.

A: Thanks for your interest and I am glad you like the flooring. This is engineered rift cut white oak, clear finished by https://www.owens-flooring.com/.
Best of luck with your project!

**Q: integrated sinks** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where did the sinks/counter come from in this bathroom? I’m looking to find something similar, but no cabinetry beneath it. Love this project & your work!

A: Glad you like it, best of luck with your project! The vanity is Libera3d by Novello. A great resource for vanities for us has been Giacomo Ferrucci with https://www.archisesto.com/.

**Q: Windows and doors** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me what type of windows and doors you used? I really like the look.

A: These windows and doors are Milgard Fiberglass.

**Q: Where did the blue marble tiles come from? Thank you!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This tile is from Walker Zanger: Cadet Blue.
Best of luck with your project!

**Q: I love the grain and colour of the cabinets. What species is the wood?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: So glad you like the cabinets. This is walnut.
