He requested the plans, which we sent him. We are adding approximately 600 square feet that will be a new master bed and bath, and remodeling parts of the existing 1200 sf. He chose not visit the house, which I can appreciate given the pandemic. However, he stated he would get back with an estimate in two weeks. That was on September 23. He did not get back to us in two weeks, but on October 19, he sent this estimate: "We would estimate the remodel portion to be in the range of $250 - $300 per square foot of livable," with no further explanation. Not understanding whether that meant the addition or the remodel, we asked him to clarify. He responded with "total livable square footage of approx 1800SF. $451,500 - $500,000." We wasted a month waiting for this estimate. During that time, I had two other estimates, one at $150,000-$175,000 and another at $166,000. Starion asked for three times that amount. **★★★★★ — MicMar, Oct. 2016** > MicMar Wood Flooring & Design has worked with Starion Custom Residences on many projects over the years. There project managers are knowledgeable and great to work with, have the same attention to detail and vision Rick sets forth for Starion and that means a lot to a trades person of any trade to be able to work daily with managers like this. If you are looking for a luxury re-modeler/builder with the perfect blend of professional knowledge, professionalism, has the utmost respect for their clients and tradesmen, then Starion is the builder for you. Their attention to detail, and straightforward style comes through in each and every project. Their homes are nothing short of spectacular, regardless of the style. I remember walking a job we were working on for Rick when I met a home inspector that told me after completing his inside-and-out inspection, that he had never seen a better quality remodel of a home, and also stated he would use Starion if he were to ever remodel or build a home. Seeing so many projects myself prior to starting of construction and then to completion stage I am always so impressed by the quality of the finished projects. Of all the luxury home builders in AZ, Starion Custom Residences is certainly the company I would choose to build my next home! He has the solid long term career and background in the housing industry and knows all there is to know about construction. There isn't anyone who has a stronger residential construction background from a simple remodel to a high end custom home. **★★★★★ — cfincham, Sept. 2015** > We used Starion for a complete remodel of our home. When we acquired our 1960's home it was in its original condition. Starion was involved from the beginning, providing design ideas and floor plan suggestions. They maintained an incredible attention to detail throughout the entire process. They were extremely professional and completed the project on schedule, (if not a few days before). We highly recommend Starion and have already referred them to multiple people. **★★★★★ — emilydodds, Sept. 2015** > completed a complete remodel of our home, taking the the house down to one wall and building our 4000 sq foot custom home in seven months flat. Their work is of the highest quality. Owner Rick Stark is a consummate professional, responsive, respectful and attentive to every detail. In this industry, it is rare for projects to stay on schedule, but he made it happen. We give them the highest recommendation. **★★★★★ — mbh62962, Sept. 2015** > We used Starion for a large remodel and were extremely pleased.
