**Q: Best Ways to Update a Dining Room?** *(in Polls)*

**Q: I've got to decide on throw pillows for this sectional. Please help!** *(in Before & After)*

I've had this pottery barn sectional for almost a year and I can't decide on throw pillows for it. I can't even figure out what colors will work. Any help would be appreciated!

A: The problem with suggesting exact throw pillows, is that every accessory company makes hundreds of patterns, and as a furniture store, we don't stock pillows, we help you choose them and have them made for your furniture at the time you order the sofa, and there's a thousand fabrics to choose from even then.  If you have a piece of the fabric from your curtain, bring it with you shopping, or even take a really well lit picture of them.  Then, it's really up to you, what type of pattern you like.  Since your sectional is so neutral, you can do anything you like, and hey, it's pillows.  If you buy 3 or 4 of them now, you can replace them in a few years if you get tired of them or want to change the color.  If your a sewer, you can even just change the covers.

**Q: Perfect window treatment?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This bathroom needs something. I know I could really make it "pop" with a beautiful window shade or something. But, I'm overwhelmed with the options. What does it need? Colors, style, any advice appreciated. Thank you!

A: The look of this bathroom is definitely suited to the upscale look of Hunter Douglas Silhouette shades.  It is a fabric (many choices) that rolls up in it's header, out of the way.  It can be cordless and can be closed completely, vanes open part way for some light, or completely open.

**Q: Bigger bedroom or bigger bathroom?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Same size closets... Go.

A: Decision would depend on what kind of usage in each room.  If you want a big bedroom because you want an extra sitting/work area, go there.  If you want more pieces in the bathroom ie. separate shower, bath, bday, dressing area, makeup table, then go for that!

**Q: Comfortable chair for person with back problem** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Have not been able to find a comfortable chair for my husband to sit on and watch TV,he gets backaches as chairs don't have enough back support .

A: A wing chair, with a flat back, may not be the appropriate design.  It depends on where the pain is, in the back.  There are chairs with bustles that either fill the small of the back, or support the shoulders properly, so you are not slouching, as the previous entry said.  These are examples of recliners, which can be considered as well.  When you lift the feet off the floor, you take the "pull" off the back.
