My house isn’t even 3 years old, and the carpets throughout the home are already bunching up with massive humps and wrinkles everywhere. I paid out of pocket to have one room professionally restretched, and the installer told me the carpet was improperly installed from the beginning. He had to cut out 3 inches just to make it lay correctly. Now the same problem is happening in multiple rooms. > The floors are another nightmare. I submitted warranty requests for squeaky floors several times within the first year of ownership, and every time it felt like pulling teeth just to get someone out here. Instead of fixing the problem properly, they make you pick and choose which squeaks they’ll address, even though the entire home was still under warranty. Some areas were never fixed at all. > This is the 5th home I’ve owned, and without question the poorest quality construction I’ve experienced. The shortcuts in workmanship are obvious once you actually live in the home. A new build should not already have failing carpet installation, squeaky floors, and ongoing repair issues before it’s even 3 years old. > CBH may build homes fast, but quality and customer care clearly take a back seat.
