A: 3x6 Emperador Light Marble Tumbled **Q: anyone use vinyl flooring that looks like wood?** *(in Design Dilemma)* Due to our budget, we are going with vinyl flooring (Congoleum or Mannington). I was going to go with the tile look but after checking it out, I kinda like the wood. Does it look alright or is it obvious it is vinyl? A: Check out Mannimgton Adura wood plank LVT. I agree with sstar, master bath is very crowded. **Q: Kitchen Floor Ideas?** *(in Design Dilemma)* we are looking to replace the flooring and maybe the countertops, but not the cabinets. the cabinets are in great shape. any idea is appreciated. A: Floor: large tiles with slate look and lots of variation in color. Counter top: black granite or quartz Remove the valance above window. Replace hardware with stainless modern design. **Q: Need help with design & planning tile layout for my small bathroom** *(in Design Dilemma)* I've finally chosen the tile for my bathroom remodel and now I realize I have a design conundrum. The wall tiles for the outer (non-shower) walls are a 6 x18 porcelain glazed matte tile which I'd like to install vertically. I have a decorative band which is 4" high and a bullnose cap (probably another 4"). So here's my question: if a normal height for the wall would be 48", but I've only covered just over 44" so far, with 2 courses of the wall tile placed vertically plus the bullnose & decorative, how would you handle the difference? Go 3" shorter? Or add a 3" tile at the base to reach standard height? Cut some of the wall tiles to make a 3 or 4" band of the wall tile at the bottom? I don't know, but that seems like it would look wrong unless the tiles were all offset, and I hadn't planned on that pattern. Help! A: Go with a 6" high decorative border instead of 4". You will be closer to your target 48" high tile without compromising clean lines of your 2 large vertical stacked tiles. --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
