We were in the midst of a kitchen remodel and were ready for our great room to be refreshed and modernized with our new kitchen. She listened to our needs and was conscious of our budget. She put together some wonderful pieces of furniture, paint colors, roman shades to tie everything in with our kitchen remodel. This has been a long term project. Lenora was patient throughout the whole process and kept in touch regularly to see our progress. We are still working with her on some final pieces and am so glad that she has stuck with us!! Love, love, love our new space. Can't wait to bring her on board again with our next project. **★★★★★ — The Group Realty, Inc., Jan. 2018** > Lenora was a pleasure to work with. Her professionalism and design knowledge was very helpful! We recommend consulting Lenora for any home design needs. **★★★★★ — SHERRY RENNARD, Jan. 2018** > I hired Lenora to help me conceptualize & design a kitchen, living room & dining room remodel. She helped me to be brave and choose colors and designs I otherwise would have been afraid to try. Everything turned out beautiful! Thank you Lenora! **★★★★★ — Alexis Davis, Nov. 2017** > I had lived in my house for two years but was just at a loss on what to do with a particular room. For two years I hated it and kept looking online for ideas. Upon a recommendation, I called Lenora and could not have been happier with the results. She brought so many wonderful ideas that I never would have thought of. The process was so easy and pleasant - she was organized and had everything in an online studio. Functionality was of utmost importance to me as I have a young family and needed functional storage, but what I got was not only a functional space, but one that looks like it is straight out of a design magazine. I never imagined that you could combine both style and function so easily. I already have the next room picked out and can’t wait to engage Lenora for that next room. I’ll never “design” a space myself again. **★★★★★ — MG, June 2017** > 9 Ten Design transformed our living room and bedroom into amazing spaces we love. We have gotten rave reviews from friends and family. Lenora listened to our needs and preferred style and recommended pieces that fit our budget. We could not be happier. **★★★★★ — Kati Cesareo, March 2016** > I reached out to 9 Ten Design to help me find a rug for my living room. I had scoured every resource I knew of and simply could not find what I was looking for. Lenora was quick to respond, listened to what I needed and asked excellent questions. After reviewing photos of the space, she quickly responded with several options that all hit the mark in terms of design and budget, and worked well with the other items already in the room. Her top suggestion was my favorite and it was only a short amount of time before the carpet was on my doorstep and in my space. It's PERFECT and beautifully constructed. I will definitely be working with 9 Ten Design in the future. **★★★★★ — vjarias112, Feb. 2016** > My first project with Lenora was my son's room. My son is almost two, so I wanted more of a "boys room" vs a "baby room", something that he can grow into. Although it took longer to put together than we both expected (due to my work schedule), the finished room looks better than I imagined it to be. Her sensitivity to our budget was refreshing. She was able to bring together decorative pieces that were both from the high and low price points, yet keeping in mind our budget. Although, we may have some pieces that cost a few dollars, the room looks as if it costs much more than that. It was a very easy process. Lenora spends a lot of time getting to know what you like, in order for her to create an artistic piece that fits you and your home. With having said that, Lenora and I have moved onto the next room in my house.. the office **★★★★★ — Arriana Padron, Oct. 2015** > Lenora at 9 Ten Design built a custom sofa for us, and we absolutely love it. I had been shopping for one for a LONG time but could not find one that had the features I wanted, the design I wanted, and the quality I wanted, at a manageable price. > > We did 2 consultations. The first consultation she met with me to review my desires from a design and feature perspective. She really took time to figure out what we needed from our sofa, I wanted it to function more for our daily family use but had to work for the few times a year we have quite a bit of guests. The second consultation she reviewed her design along with tears I had provided or that she had found to give a good visual presentation. She measured our area and furniture it would have to work with. She provided fabric swatches that were of excellent quality and a good color assortment. She followed the build and kept me up to date on the status, all the way through to delivery day. > > My husband is a hard one to please as far as sofa's. He's in love, our 2 kids are in love...because of 9 Ten Design we have a sectional with a queen sleeper (the mattress is actually comfortable!) and the sectional/chaise part can act as a twin...Lenora was smart enough to build in walk space between the sleeper and chaise. The fabric and the fill make for a comfortable addition to our space. The design is perfect. There is no way I could have got all of this from a standard furniture retailer without compromising on something. > > Thank you 9 Ten Design! **★★★★★ — billieh09, Oct. 2015** > I am in the middle of remodeling my condo and had hit a brick wall on paint colors, tile for kitchen flooring and backsplash, guest shower area, fabrics, etc. Lenora listened to the design style I am trying to achieve and immediately solved several big frustrations. I find her to be one of the best in the business as I have interviewed several and even worked with other designers in the past. She is extremely talented, business like, yet personable, quick to respond to request and empathetic to ones personal stress in these situations. I highly recommend her for anything, big or small that one may have in creating a beautiful look that they are trying to achieve. She is worth every penny and I suggest you check out her website. Trust me, you will be glad you chose Lenora. BTW, I know my kitchen and all areas will be beautiful when it is completed, thanks to Lenora. **★★★★★ — Barbara Collins, July 2015** > My husband and I highly recommend Lenora DeMars of 9 ten design studio where she presented us with various options for our dining and sitting area. We could not be happier! We wanted a calm, relaxing, feeling and that is what she achieved. She also had a new sofa made and added a beautiful new coffee and end table to the den. Perfect! **★★★★★ — kymberly11, June 2015** > My husband and I hired Lenora to do two large rooms in our home. We have very different tastes and styles and I was never successful at getting any home design done because we couldn't agree on anything. Lenora came in and spent time getting to know each of us and somehow brought our preferences and design ideas together into one beautiful design. I literally could not be happier with what Lenora did. I hope that I will ultimately be lucky and fortunate enough to have her do our entire home. I absolutely love our living room, it's the most beautiful living space I've ever had and it doesn't feel like it jumped out of a catalogue. It feels like HOME. It reflects my husband and me together as one. She was extremely organized, gave weekly updates, and she is extremely intuitive. She suggested things I would have never thought of. If I could give Lenora ten stars I would. She is really awesome. I've worked with other designers before and was either steamrolled into "their" ideas or they didn't have an original thought, they only wanted to execute on what I wanted. What's the point of hiring a designer? Lenora was able to extract what was meaningful between my husband and I and bring it to life in our home. **★★★★★ — Michael Sage Photography, June 2015** > I have worked with 9Ten Design on several projects. > Lenora cares about the details. I've notice how she listens to her clients needs and always delivers satisfying results. > Lenora understands that attention to detail accompanied with affordable design ideas are very important. She is always friendly prompt. 9Ten Design is a quality design service. ## Selected projects - [Laguna Beach Entryway](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/laguna-beach-entryway-pj-vj~2847140) - Location: Laguna Beach, CA - Photos: 4 - [Los Alamitos New Build](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/los-alamitos-new-build-pj-vj~2743037) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [Costa Mesa Eclectic Living](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/costa-mesa-eclectic-living-pj-vj~1735521) - Location: Costa Mesa, CA - Photos: 8 - [Anaheim Hills Family Room](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/anaheim-hills-family-room-pj-vj~1439552) - Location: Anaheim, CA - Photos: 3 - [Anaheim Hills Master Bedroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/anaheim-hills-master-bedroom-pj-vj~1439523) - Location: Anaheim, CA - Photos: 4 - [Seal Beach Family Room](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/seal-beach-family-room-pj-vj~1157164) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 2 - [Seal Beach Dining room](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/seal-beach-dining-room-pj-vj~1157131) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [California Casual](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/california-casual-pj-vj~1100780) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 2 - [Midcentury Modern Huntington Beach](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/midcentury-modern-huntington-beach-pj-vj~1056523) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [Modern Glam Dining Room and Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/modern-glam-dining-room-and-kitchen-pj-vj~1056160) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 2 - Description: Dining and Kitchen with a Modern Glam feel.
