**★★★★★ — S C, June 2025**

> We thoroughly appreciated the work that Dean and his super nice crew and trades completed for our Brooklyn apartment. We did a full renovation on our master bath, our kitchen, as well as an overhaul on all the electrical, painting and floors — all in three months.
>
> We are very happy with the work and are excited that we get to live in the wonderful space that Dean and team realized for us. They completed the work on budget, included both plumbing and electrical permits, and even more exciting the work was finished on time. We are the envy of our neighbors who have also had work done and are still not completely finished.
>
> Thanks Dean, Thanks Eleni, Jennifer. Thanks Cristian, Jesus, Chris, Frank, Irma, Freddy, Joe, Danny and Hernan. We love our home even more now and greatly appreciate the professionalism, guidance and conscientiousness of your team.
>
> Consider us happy clients.

> We can't say enough good things about J Costa Construction. We had a small kitchen project (big for us!) that took much longer than expected because of the company we used for our cabinetry (a long wait for some custom cabinets from Sweden). Dean and his crew were patient and communicative throughout the process and guided us through every step. Their expertise in everything from the technical to the aesthetic made our collaboration a breeze and together, we created our dream kitchen in a not-so-big space. J Costa made our vision a reality and I have to say, we'd use Dean and his crew again (and plan to for our closet reno) without hesitation. They were clean, efficient, courteous, and communicative. Their prices are fair and the work is way above par. You really get a lot more than a construction company, you get a creative problem solver with years of experience, amazing admin, and a stellar crew. Do yourself a favor and give them a call- you won't be sorry.

**★★★★★ — Brooklyn Gut, July 2023**

> I used J.Costa to complete a gut renovation of my apartment. Dean and his team were great to work with. They were diligent, timely, responsive and creative when issues came up. He also worked great with my architect and was very communicative. Overall, I would definitely use Dean again and highly recommend him.

**★★★★★ — A and L, June 2023**

> Dean and his crew were prompt, reliable, respectful and efficient. You hear so many horror stories about contractors, and this was just a pleasure. They were under time and under budget and the place looks amazing. What more could you want!? The project has just been completed, but from what we've seen so far, everything works (no messed up light switches, broken plumbing, or other horror) and the quality of workmanship is high overall.

> We hired J.Costa Construction to gut renovate our small bathroom and retile our kitchen floor in our 1-bedroom coop apartment. Throughout the process Dean and Eleni were very communicative and easy to get in touch with. They answered all our questions about renovating, since this was our first time, and guided us through selecting our fixtures and tiles. They also managed all the ordering and receiving so we didn't have to worry about a thing. During renovation we had a couple of small plumbing emergencies due to old pipes in the building, and Dean went above and beyond to help us resolve them in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the quality of work and our new bathroom looks beautiful. We would hire them again and highly recommend J.Costa Construction!

**★★★★★ — dvm10, Dec. 2022**

> It was a complete pleasure working with J. Costa Construction. The work they did was on time, on budget, and expertly overseen. Dean and the team were always available to answer my numerous questions and point me in the right direction when it came to sourcing and design decisions. Throughout the process they went above and beyond, and there was no hiccup that they didn't find an affordable solution for. I highly recommend them!

**★★★★★ — Campbell-Sly, Nov. 2022**

> We are so happy with our decision to work with Dean Saviolis and his team. Dean's team was as enjoyable, trustworthy and prompt as Dean himself. Some specifics that made this project a success for us: The quality was excellent. Dean's ability to work with our building management, architect and City authorities made things easy. Dean also knows the suppliers and sub-contractor options very well. Dean makes it a personal experience. We talk via phone, FaceTime or WhatsApp as needed. We were out of town a lot, and we knew we were in good hands with Dean while gone. We will definitely use Dean next time!

**★★★★★ — syl roth, May 2022**

> I used J. Costa to renovate a kitchen and bathroom in an alcove studio. The kitchen is very tiny so it was a challenge to satisfy my requests but Dean's design was amazing and fit everything I asked for...it looks amazing. The bathroom came out beautiful as well. The crew was very pleasant and worked very hard. Dean was pleasant, patient and knowledgable. I will use J. Costa again for any future projects.

**★★★★★ — Marissa Ro, May 2022**

> We used J. Costa to renovate our new apartment, specifically the kitchen, bathroom, closet and a wall removal. They did a great job, and I am 100% happy with how it turned out. Dean and his crew were excellent to work with. They are all super knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. They showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up and completed the project quickly and as scheduled.
>
> I would definitely recommend J. Costa Construction to anyone looking to do home renovations.

**★★★★★ — kkaraka, June 2021**

> I used J. Costa construction for a kitchen & bath renovation in a modest 1 BR apartment. The manager, Dean, and his crew were nice guys and complete professionals. They were always responsive and did great work for us. I've done several projects and Dean was easily the best contractor I've worked with. It's a difficult job, juggling materials, deliveries, work schedules, tradesmen, and building management requirements. No project will be without some snags. But Dean kept those to a minimum, made helpful design suggestions, and we are extremely satisfied with the quality of the work.

**★★★★★ — phandi, March 2021**

> After using Dean and his crew for a couple minor condo projects in past years, we engaged them to gut-renovate a Brooklyn townhouse starting in February 2020. Despite some COVID-related complications, they persevered and the process and results have been absolutely amazing! They exhibited an extraordinary level of care and attention to detail every step of the way, from the early structural work no one would see, to the finishes at the end that everyone would, to follow-up visits to address punch list items after we moved in. Even the neighbors commented on how clean and respectful they were.
>
> Highly recommend and would definitely use again!

**★★★★★ — Marcy Agreen, March 2021**

> The crew was friendly, professional, SUPER CLEAN, and immaculately precise!!! They handled a huge mess after a rough job left by some electricians, and left our apartment better than we could have hoped!!! I fully recommend for any and all projects!!!

## Community Q&A

**Q: what kind of paint is used on the walls of bathroom instead of tile** *(in Photo Questions)*

Wall tile

A: We used Ben Moore White Aura paint

**Q: Toilet** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where is the tank for the toilet? It looks as though it is on an outside wall?

A: Hi Joe, This is what's called a flushometer toilet. There is no storage tank of water.
The chrome piece you see above the bowl is the water supply connected to a valve.
A flushometer is a metal water-diverter that uses an inline handle to flush tankless toilets or urinals. These are most popular in multi family buildings.

**Q: Love the bookshelf, Where can I find it?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: We've been waiting for the client to answer but have not heard back yet. The client purchased this after our Renovation was complete so we don't know. We'll ask again and let you know. Thanks

**Q: What kind of rail system?** *(in Photo Questions)*

It looks as though both of these doors slide, like two sliding closet doors. What kind of rail are they on? A rail similar to closet doors?

A: Hi Karen, These were old barn doors that were hung on a traditional Heavy duty Johnson sliding door track.

**Q: Who is the manufacturer of these doors, love them and the flooring too** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi, this is the link to the door manufacture. http://www.simpsondoor.com/find-a-door/default.aspx?view=detail&doorType=Interior&BaseSpecificationID=338\#DoorDetail
The flooring is a prefinished Oak finish from Lumber Liquidators.
Hope this helps.
