> We hired Seamus to build a second floor bathroom addition to our 75+ years old house in late summer 2016, and we are lucky to have found him -- he was extraordinarily professional and efficient, and brought along excellent subcontractors for carpentry, roofing, gutters, painting, plumbing, electrical, etc. HE handled all the permitting and inspections wonderfully. He kept focused on the original plan and budget but was also flexible when complications arose and knew how to overcome surprises when encountering unexpected previous work from the original construction. He was pleasant to have around during the construction, and made sure the construction caused as little as possible disruption to our lives and to our neighbors. It was a several-months project, with many little details, and some changes along the way but the project was finished right on time, and right on budget, and it looks magnificent. We are very happy with the work that he and his subcontractors did, and recommend him very very highly.

The specific jobs I have hired him to do: kitchen remodel consisting of knocking down a wall to allow an open concept and this required creative thinking to develop an appealing transition between the rooms, with the installation of a counter and bar, and the finished product has greatly improved the appearance of my home. Other things he has done are: wood deck and stairs for the front porch, stone patio installation, outside water drain placement for troubleshooting the source of a flooding basement, basement egress window, and building a stylish large planter box using wood and corrugated metal.

> As a couple long-term do-it-yourselfers, we were not familiar with hiring and working with a contractor. Seamus took us on anyway and made us feel comfortable with a to the studs redo of our kitchen that included leveling the floor, raising the ceiling, dropping in new windows where they needed to be,  additional insulation and an updated electrical system. Seamus throws a wide net, he introduced us to excellent resources for cabinets, countertops, lighting, and flooring. Our old house requires that we work with great care both of materials and aesthetics, he brought in great people who were not only craftsmen, but good company. Our kitchen is exactly what we wanted.

> Seamus Egan and his team were a dynamic, happy crew. They remodeled our 1969 bi-level in the Atomic age Reed Neighborhood in Portland, OR. Our job was to remodel our kitchen, that included removing walls to open up our main living space. Because of our choice the remodel overflowed into our living area.

> We chose to live in our home during the remodel and Seamus set up a very nice kitchen situation in our garage. A part of the remodel was to tie in the oak floors already established in the home through our kitchen. Walls were removed, gas pulled in, lighting updated and installed and fresh paint.

> The design occurred with Seamus bringing in Kevin Fisher and Charlotte Cooney of Alice Design & Domestic Arts. It took us about four renditions to come up with our floor plan, lighting-electric plan, plumbing and demo plan. Some adjustments were made afterwards that sealed the deal on a great kitchen remodel. We have custom recycling bins, hidden pet food & treat area plus a nice electronics charging stow away area.

I felt very comfortable having them in my house with me all day for nearly two months while they remodeled my basement into a functional family room. It is so nice down there now that my son and his friends have joyfully claimed it as their "man cave". (Thus, I will upload pictures when it's a bit cleaner.)

When I contacted him for a bid on our project he came over promptly, listened to our needs and wants without overwhelming us with his opinions ("the customer is always right!), sent us a bid electronically within a day of our initial conversation about the project, offered a "hard" estimate that he stuck with (though of course a few things came up. And I made some changes to which he adapted to smoothly.) He communicated with me, in person, every week about the budget, creatively problem-solved with me the little surprises, adapted pleasantly to the changes I made to the plan, and was generally fun to work with. He's not a kid either, which is nice. He has lots of experience upon which to draw, both in construction and customer relations. And he's honest.  He's not the least expensive but he's better than the least expensive. Much better.  I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.
