**Q: Painting wooden door** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Does anyone know how to paint an Eastern African Padauk (wild Teak) external door? Pictures attached is a raw door and the desired outcome.

A: ok, one small suggestion before you get to painting your door: use an oil-based primer, and tint it to the paint color you will be using afterwards. This way, it will save you one extra coat of paint. Make sure to buff-sand the door after priming it, as it will raise the wood grains, and make the door feel "hairy". Once you buff-sand it after priming, you are good to go with the paint:). Good luck!
