Chairs are from Arrital Kitchens in Italy. **Q: Need help for loft library** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hi, I am in the process of buying a townhouse with a loft like this: I want to convert this loft into a reading room/library. Since this house is on a lagoon's beach, I am planning for a beachy/nautical decor. We have a red day bed that I am thinking of using in this room, if possible. I don't have any interior design experience, and this will be our first home, so I would greatly appreciate any advice on this front. I was hoping to use wallpaper along two walls, since the third is a half wall (as shown in the pic above), and the fourth is the wall that the stairs run along. The thing that I am most concerned with is the abrupt discontinuity above the half wall, were we to go with an option as below. What would your recommendations be to make the transition seem defined and look classy? Any suggestions on how to use this space more effectively to make it into a library?
