**Q: entry way table** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm in need of an entry way table but cant decide between a rectangular one against the wall or a round one?

A: Rectangular against the wall with the outlet would allow you to more easily capitalize on the wall space and what appears to be a lovely ceiling height. Assuming that wall is also what is directly in front of you upon entering, it would create a nice focal point.

**Q: Sinks placement - look vs. functionality** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Help please! we've purchased a 60" double vanity, and trying to decide on sink placement. If we center the sinks to the cabinets below, the sinks will be sitting too close to the wall on each side, with only about 3" of counterspace on each side, and lots of room in the middle. Will it look odd to have the sinks placed closer to the middle, which will add about 2" more on each side, but will not be centered to the cabinets below?

If anyone has pictures of that might look like i'd love to see them!

A: Keep centered, smaller sink if at all possible. Guessing at measurements here, 24+12+24? If so, a 15” sink would leave 4.5” on either side?

**Q: Is the artwork over the bed too much for the room ?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Is the artwork over the headboard too big ? What can I replace it with ? I have lots of light in the room so there's no need for lamps on the nightstand. But it does feel like the room is missing something.

A: The scale of the piece above the bed is just fine, the issue is you've got a large wall with not quite enough in front of it to draw the eye horizontally. I agree with the suggestion for some additional pieces above the night stands to start.

**Q: Does this coffee table work for the space ?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Does this hammered coffee table look ok in this space ? I found somewhat similar side tables from another store. Also what kind of rug work work in this space ?

A: The hammered effect works but the scale of the table is too small. I agree, try the smaller hammered pieces as side tables and something else for the coffee table.

**Q: Exterior paint colors** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I live in Saskatchewan, Canada the heart of the prairies. We get lots of snow in the winter, and beautiful hot sunny summers. I'm looking to change the color of my house, and want to choose something that will suit our surroundings (we live in a farm with lots of trees - think luscious greens in the summer and glorious yellows and Browns in the fall). But I'm struggling. I'm leaning towards blue (see attached photo) but am getting a bit scared by how dark it is (top is Newburg green and bottom is Hale Navy; both Benjamin Moore). Does anyone have any suggestions??  Thanks very much!

A: I love both of your color options, but with your house's existing amount of windows and trim relative to amount of siding, I think both will be too dark. I'd suggest a lighter shade of green as well. Good luck - looks to be a beautiful setting!

**Q: Burnt orange and curtain panels** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Now I know my curtain rod is hanging. I'm going to have my husband fix that asap. 
Please please please help w/your advice and opinions about my living room. I'm just starting to decorate. I have all receipts and packaging for the curtains so I can change that. I love the colors but not so sure this looks right. Maybe to busy? Help me make it right. :)

A: Both options are improved over the original (too overdressed) but I like the pattern-only option as it gives you that pop of color while also brightening up the room more than the solid-only option. Your furniture is dark and by nature really anchors the room so visual interest is key. You've done a great job and the pillows coordinate nicely!
