### Featured Review

**★★★★★ — HU-953419330, Oct. 2025**

> Paul and Monique are extraordinary to work with! We completely gutted and remodeled our entire townhouse. From project planning to completion they communicated, listened to our thoughts and ideas, brought expertise, attention to detail and did what they said they were going to do. They have followed up on very minor punch list items since we have moved in and have stayed engaged to make sure everything is perfect. Their integrity, expertise in construction and design and quality are outstanding. In the end we felt that they had delivered even more than promised and we wish we had another remodel to work with them on again.

**★★★★★ — Bill Knudsen, June 2024**

> Everyone at Paul Thomas designs was knowledgeable and professional. Management was hands-on and the results speak for themselves. I would highly recommend the organization to anyone contemplating improving their property.

**★★★★★ — KR, Dec. 2023**

> Thorough and professional from start through on time completion of project. They offered unique solutions to challenges. We wouldn’t use anyone else for future projects

**★★★★★ — William Millhollin, Nov. 2023**

> Paul is a remarkable craftsman and perfectionist. His crew and contractors do an excelllent job on any project. We were very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them to do any remodeling project. Monique is a designing wizzard and guides you through the project, including product /material recommendations. We had a major renovation project and with her opinions and help we were able to get through the process without getting bogged down in the process. They were both a pleasure to work with and confident in their abilities.

**★★★★★ — Lee & Alice Capell, Nov. 2021**

Both the designer and construction crew are very professional and hold themselves to the highest standard in customer service. We were very pleased with the quality of the work performed and highly recommend the company.

**★★★★★ — Joanne Clash, May 2019**

> Paul Thomas recently repaired and rebuilt our deck/gazebo damaged by a falling tree during a windstorm. His design ideas and workmanship are of the highest quality and were performed with a friendly attitude. He pays special attention to detail and perfection, completing the job on schedule. He will always be our go-to-guy for home repairs and projects.

**Comment from Paul Thomas Designs, LLC:**

> Thank you so much for the kind review Joanne! We are extremely grateful for wonderful clients like you! Thank you for making what we do a success.

  - Description: During the schematic design phase if the project the unthinkable happened. Our clients had a house fire. As a result the scope of work opened up to allow for the design to go beyond original expectations. This home has been a family hub for multiple generations. The goal was to create an inviting yet hardworking home that could sustain daily life witn four busy and growing children, as well as be the place for large family gatherings. One last request was a place to bathe and feed the family dog…

  - Location: Kirkland, WA

  - Description: With tight spaces and narrow pathways this Kirkland townhouse was not ideal for aging in place not to mention the cut up spaces made it difficult to entertain. Adding steel beems allowed the opening of walls to create a space that not only flows together but also allows safe pathways.
- [Kirkland Outdoor Living Space](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kirkland-outdoor-living-space-pj-vj~6307506)
  - Location: Kirkland, Washington
  - Photos: 43
  - Description: As clients who love to entertain an upgrade to their outdoor space was a must. The original deck had a steep set of stairs coming off of the house taking up a good portion of usable space as well as being unsafe for aging family members. In addition to the stairs were planter boxes and benches all the way around making things even more cramped. Our solution was to remove the stairs and raise the deck to the level of the house. We added a shed roof with three skylights, lighting, and fans to meet…

  - Location: Woodinville, Washington
  - Photos: 24
  - Description: With two growing teenage boys, this 1500 sqare foot cortage was bursting at the seams. With no option to increase sqaure footage it was crucial we make the sqayre footage they do have work for all of them. We were able to provide a more functional layout in the primary suite that also gives nearly three times the amount of closet space. The boys share a bathroom and at 6’ plus in height the standard tub shower combo was no longer working. We were able to keep the orginal foootprint while giving…

  - Description: For the owners of this lakeside retreat having an accessible space without stairs was a priority. When they decided to renovate the bathroom in the main floor guest house due to water damage it seemed only fitting to turn it into the new master suite that would not only eliminate the stairs necessary to access the existing master suite on the second floor but also be a comfortable, safe new master suite they can enjoy for years to come.
- [Primary Suite](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/primary-suite-pj-vj~6126036)
  - Location: Snohomish, WA
  - Photos: 32
  - Description: There is nothing more fun and rewarding than having clients who keep coming back and who love their spaces we design and build! This master suite is the second phase of a multi phase transformation for our clients. In 2018 our clients moved back to Washington from California. They found a beautiful piece of property with a house they knew they could make their own. We began with the entry, kitchen and dining space that year. This year we transformed the master bedroom and bathroom into a true ma…

  - Location: Seattle, Washington
  - Photos: 15
  - Description: This beautiful master bathroom was transformed from a standard 1990's master to a beautiful and functional use of space. The large built in bathtub and shower were removed to create one large and luxurious shower. The new custom linen cabinets sit where the former shower once was. We wanted to create a 'floating cabinet' without the challenge of cleaning all the way to the back corners. To accomplish this we designed a vanity cabinet that only appears to be floating.
- [Kitchen, Dining, and Entry](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kitchen-dining-and-entry-pj-vj~5674912)
  - Location: Seattle, WA
  - Photos: 7
  - Description: When the homeowners purchased this home they wanted to make it their forever home beginning with the kitchen and dining room. As renovations were underway it became clear the existing entry door needed to be changed and relocated. The result a beautiful entry into a welcoming open space perfect for intimate family dinners as well as large gatherings.
- [Lake Sammamish Primary Bath](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/lake-sammamish-primary-bath-pj-vj~6051452)
  - Location: Redmond, Washington
  - Photos: 12
  - Description: This project began as homeowner DIY remodel. After completing a good portion of demo they realized in order to see their dream become reality it might be best to call in some help. That is where we came in. We helped transform the space into the vision they had from the beginning.
- [Family Bath Remodel](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/family-bath-remodel-pj-vj~6079717)
  - Location: Seattle, Washington
  - Photos: 14
  - Description: The goal in this bathroom was to maximize every inch of space. To do so we removed a large window opposite the original hinged door that opened with a perfect view of the toilet. We moved the toilet and created a wet area that would accommodate a free standing tub as well as a shower. With a modern barn door entry to both the bathroom and the wet area, the updated space is free of doors opening into one another.
- [Kirkland Entry Refresh](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kirkland-entry-refresh-pj-vj~5732413)
  - Location: Kirkland, WA
  - Photos: 22
  - Description: A new entry door, fresh paint and new carpet give this home a refreshing boost.
- [Bothell Tool Shed](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/bothell-tool-shed-pj-vj~5846497)
  - Location: Bothell, WA
  - Photos: 4
  - Description: When our clients purchased a new home they left behind a large storage shed at their previous home. This shed was built to match the new home with the ability to easily drive their mower in and out as well as space to store above. We were able to use the garage door and entry from the old house.
- [Small Bathroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/small-bathroom-pj-vj~5749553)
  - Location: Kirkland, WA
  - Photos: 6
  - Description: This small family bathroom needed a refresh. A curbless shower and partial glass enclosure allows for a more efficient use of space.
