Lavish Gardens turned my backyard into a tranquil oasis. > The birds, butterflies, bumblebees love the gardens. The birds will bath in the river, frogs will enjoy sunbathing on a rock, dragonflies light on the lily pads, while the goldfish and koi swim about there day. > I love to just sit. The results are magnificent additions to both properties. My pond was a challenge. It's built in a small woodland section of my property. Tree roots and large rocks abound. Karina designed the pond to minimize impact on the trees and compliment the many boulders already there, using a few of the more massive ones as the headwater setting for the waterfall. I'm now looking forward to the pond 'waking up'. Much to my surprise I actually saw one of the koi yesterday. I didn't expect to see them active at the end of March but there she was! I've signed up for Lavish Gardens biannual pond care as well. Karina began our project with a preliminary on-site consultation, followed by the creation of an original design for a rain garden planted with native species which will attract birds, insects, and pollinators. Additionally, the rain garden was recommended as a way to ease the strain of storm water run-off and help rain water filter naturally back into the aquafer. The team arrived on time, when they said they would, and worked steadily and efficiently every day. They also tidied up the overgrown yard at the back of the house and were happy to reuse and relocate many plants to a side yard to complete part of the new design. Each member of the Lavish Gardens team was friendly, good-humoured, and a tireless worker.
