### Featured Review

**★★★★★ — Julee Klein, Jan. 2023**

> We absolutely love our new kitchen. The designer created an awesome plan which included raising the dropped ceiling, opening up a wall, and wrapping structural beams to tie them in with the exposed wood beam ceiling in the adjoining room. The results are stunning!

**Comment from Studio 38 Designs, Inc.:**

> Hi Julee, thank you so much for your kind words. Our designers strive to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and we are glad your vision came to life. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity and the great experience it was working with you.

  - Description: This master bathroom was reconfigured to better utilize the space and give the client the spa-like feeling with light gray cabinetry and natural stone. The golden accents in the stone and the polished chrome fixtures go hand in hand to achieve the soft glam look the client requested. Separate vanities are suitable for partners wishing to coexist while having their own space. The large tiles and clawless freestanding tub give the client the easy clean process that they were looking for. Elegant a…

  - Description: The clients' existing kitchen was unevenly divided, feeling closed in and dysfunctional. It was very dark inside and needed some updates. With some structural engineering, two walls were moved/removed, opening up the space for multipurpose reasons. The dining room, entertainment area, bar, mud room, and kitchen were combined. But in order to separate from the family room and reduce the amount of noise, we put large pocket doors in the opening. The client also got new flooring to compliment the l…

  - Location: Morgan Hill, CA

  - Description: We transformed this space into a transitional, multi‑purpose room that works as an office, laundry area, and mudroom. The old white cabinets and chrome hardware were replaced with bold blue cabinetry and brushed‑gold finishes. We removed a closet to add a built‑in bench with coat storage and extended the cabinetry to create more counter space, overhead storage, and filing around the desk. Our client wanted light wood countertops for a subtle craftsman touch, so we carried the surface over the fr…

  - Description: The clients wanted a master bathroom that felt updated, functional, and calming — a place to unwind from a busy life with two young kids. The original layout wasn’t working for them. The large room had a steam sauna they never used, only one sink at the vanity, and very little privacy at the toilet. It was also dark and cold, with minimal lighting and tile floors that made mornings feel even chillier. We removed the unused steam sauna and created a spacious walk‑in shower. The new double‑sink va…
- [Mermaid Bathroom Makeover](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/mermaid-bathroom-makeover-pj-vj~6740740)
  - Location: Gilroy, CA

  - Description: The clients wanted to remodel a bathroom for two young kids that was playful, but also grown-up enough for a guest bath. We created a beautiful sea themed design with clean lines, bold pops of color, and fish scale accent tile. We installed a new wood vanity, accent lighting, and champagne bronze hardware and fixtures that warmed the room up and made it the perfect oasis for the kids to escape in. The layout was not an issue on this small hallway bathroom, so we did not try and re-invent the whe…
- [Transitional Kitchen Remodel](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/transitional-kitchen-remodel-pj-vj~7106016)
  - Location: Morgan Hill, CA
  - Photos: 8
  - Description: Our client's vison came to life with this transitional kitchen design. We paired beautiful wood cabinetry and shelves with a statement range and hood. With a demo of the existing island and floorplan, a new open and spacious layout was needed for a free flowing, airy feel.
- [Rustic Modern Bathroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/rustic-modern-bathroom-pj-vj~7115935)
  - Location: Morgan Hill, CA
  - Photos: 14
  - Description: Our client wanted a full demo and reconfiguration of their bathroom layout with new paint, flooring, vanity, and shower. We replaced their window and changed the location of the toilet. We closed an entrance into the closet from the bathroom and installed a linen tower with a pullout for laundry. We gave them a free-standing shower and tub and electric tower warmers.
- [Whole Home Refresh](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/whole-home-refresh-pj-vj~6763297)
  - Location: Morgan Hill, CA
  - Photos: 12
  - Description: This was a complete interior home remodel with a new font door, kitchen, living room, and three updated bathrooms. The client wanted to modernize the existing space, enlarge the bathrooms, and redesign the kitchen to have a more open concept feel. The solution was to push two of the bathroom walls out, enlarging both to create a more desired space. By rearranging the kitchen, this created a more favorable flow for entertaining and a living room that is comfortable for socializing. Every room was…

  - Photos: 6
  - Description: This project was a full-scale guest bathroom remodel with the relocation of a closet into an adjacent bedroom, removal of a wall separating the shower and toilet. In this remodel we added an extra-large soaking bathtub and an expanded neo angled walk-in shower. The toilet was slightly relocated to give the opportunity to gain more space inside the shower and an easier passage into it. The clients now have a larger and grand bathroom to unwind and relax. By far my favorite thing about this projec…
- [Transitional Whole Home](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/transitional-whole-home-pj-vj~6738461)
  - Location: Morgan Hill, CA

  - Description: The client loved to entertain, they felt like their home wasn't built with that in mind. By removing a load bearing wall we were able to open up the kitchen, dining, and living room. In the kitchen we installed a recessed exhaust hood so as to not block the beautiful view of the valley. The master bathroom was also reconfigured to better utilize the space and give the clients a spa-like feel. We replaced all the windows and flooring in the home and gave it a smart home upgrade with smart lights…
