She also designed outdoor gathering spaces -- a firetable gathering area, dining and bbq areas, working with our needs for a 4-hole putting green, ping-pong area, hammock hang-out. > Michelle designed a beautiful bookcase for my 100+ year-old house and helped me thread the needle between respecting the house's architecture and providing storage that was useful and stylish by today's standards. Friends entering the house for the first time weren't sure if the bookcase was old ("It looks like it's always been there") or new ("...but it feels kind of contemporary."). Michelle also has made useful recommendations on using lighting as the "jewelry" of a room (she is really great at this). While selecting paint colors, I also got a very useful education on the effects of undertones of different paint colors, and this knowledge was essential as I selected a paint scheme for an entire house. I didn't want everything the same color but wanted a smooth, non-jarring transition from room to room, and Michelle's advice, plus a few key recommendations on colors helped me to achieve that. I'd happily recommend Michelle for both big jobs (major redesign) and little ones (i.e. help with this room now, that one later). Plus, she very practical and nice!

> We enjoyed working with Michelle on various interior decoration options for our house.  She helped us sort through different paint colors and provided numerous options for us to consider.  Both my husband and I grew up in houses with plain white walls, so for us to "step outside the box" and consider different colors for our house was a big step.  Michelle eased us into the process and gave us countless options to consider, knowing that they all fit under one color scheme.  She strongly encouraged us to consider a darker brown paint for our hallway, which I originally did not agree with.  However, we ended up going with a dark brown in our hallway and it's now one of my favorite places in our house.  Overall, we have 10 different paint colors (including accent walls) in our house.

We are definitely excited to hold onto these options and explore them down the road.  She also directed us to different websites so that we can view and potentially buy different furniture pieces that would fit our space.  Michelle also recommended where to hang framed pictures on the wall and how to standardize the frame locations throughout a room.  This was a huge help for us, and we waited nearly a year before hanging on the walls because we wanted to make sure it was just right.

A: Yes!  It's black absolute.

A: Hi, thanks for asking.  I love this color too.  While I don't know the client's exact color, a few colors I would try would be Benjamin moore's Nantucket fog, Nickel, Brittany blue or glass slipper.  Another thing you can do is if you find a color you like, have the paint store add some white to the formula if you want to lighten it up.  You can have them mix it for you to test out.  Its only paint, and compared to everything else you have to buy for your home, no matter how much experimenting you have to do, it's cheap and worth it!!!
