Lisa Smith decorated my home in a modern and welcoming decor. My palette is soft grey with dark wood floors in a modern farm house style. In my small home office, she added a pop of raspberry color in the silk drapes and Asian-style white and silver wallpaper that make it delightful. I love the fabrics she choose for each set of drapes. In the living room she used dark blue silk drapes, and in the family room she used a patterned green and beige fabric for the drapes. My house is new with an unusual floor plan. She designed the placement of the furniture, lighting and TVs, which actually was a challenge. She gave me a budget and we stayed within it. The work was completed on time. Her assistants and contractors (painter, wallpaper, drapery hanger) were professional and timely also. I love the textures and shapes of the pieces that Lisa picked. I cannot recommend her enough. She is a good listener yet does not give you too many options so that you are overwhelmed. Engineered hardwoods concern me in the kitchen. Additionally, we have a pool and large dog. Would the new water proof laminate be okay to use? A: This flooring is natural white oak with Bona Traffic finish which is made for high volume use. That creates a beautiful and durable finish. The laminate would be a more reliant product, but you may loose a bit of the luster of real wood. Sometimes function has to come first.
