Karen Sinclair Kerns obtained her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design degree from Florida State University and was awarded her Florida license and certification by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCDIQ). During her college experience she gained great knowledge in architecture and interior design with study abroad programs located in London, Paris, and Milan and Venice Italy. Knowing how valuable it was to her clients to incorporate authentic European design and architectural elements, she continued to study abroad during her years of design experience in Croatia, Greece, Monaco, and Spain.
Karen’s 18 years of interior design experience has given her the privilege to work with top designers, architects, contractors, and developers along the gulf coast. After moving from Naples to Destin, FL in 2002 she began working as a senior interior designer and project manager at a leading architectural firm which brought her opportunities to expand her knowledge of the design field. Karen’s projects included restaurants, schools, high end homes, offices, condominiums and renovations.  Currently she is employed with Lovelace Interiors in Destin, FL. She is involved in the project design from the preliminary architectural space planning to the completion of construction and furnishings installation. Aside from creating project concepts from the ground up, her expertise expanse also includes specifications of custom furnishings, lighting, cabinetry, plumbing, flooring, accessories, and window and bedding treatments. Her talent to interpret her clients desires along with ability for keeping balance between the function of the space and clients authentic design style are among her strongest attributes.

What is the all material on the fireplace?

A: That finish was actually on the home prior to us begining our design. The finished was a crushed shell material. White Sands Contracting built the home and may able to answer your question to the exact specification. The home is on the market right now, 27 Running Oak Cir Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.
