> I loved working with Vincent. He was very responsive to our needs and re-designed our very old house to totally meet our needs. My contractor told me he had never received such complete, detailed drawing from an architect. It removed all of the guess work from the project. We are so happy with our new/old house!!

**Comment from Vincent den Hartog, Architect:**

> It was a pleasure to work with you to renew this heritage home. I'm glad you will enjoy this house for years to come.

> I found the web site for Vincent den Hartog on line, and liked the photos he had posted. I had purchased land on the Bay of Fundy shore and needed to start over with a new build, after a demolition.
> It was a request to design a Cape Cod style house (3 bedrooms) with shingles to look old., and make the most of the water views.
> Vincent found a reputable builder to interpret my wishes.
> I am very pleased with the results.

## Community Q&A

**Q: gas or wood?** *(in Photo Questions)*

hi Is this a gas or wood burning fireplace? Also, what size is the firebox? Thx

A: It is a two sided propane fireplace, roughly42"x36"high. I believe the brand was Heat & Glo.

**Q: What color are the walls?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The island pendants are 'School House' by either Kichler or Feiss

**Q: Where is the chair from** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The chair is my client's. I'm sorry, I don't know from where it was purchased originally.

**Q: Color code of the wall.** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The walls are Pittsburgh Paints 'Angel Food' 318-1 a cream off white. The ceilings are Pittsburgh Paints 'Pale Innocence' 352-1 a light blue that enhances the atmospheric blue that comes from the seaside location. I don't like white ceilings as they often give the room the sense of having no top. Thanks for your enquiry.

**Q: is this a gas fireplace or wood burning?** *(in Photo Questions)*

If wood burning, what type of insert is it? thx!

A: It's a propane double sided fireplace.
