For the initial consult Nancy Greene came to the property and spoke with me for over an hour, clarifying my needs and wants and showing me examples of her work and many plants that I had never heard of. After last summer’s heatwaves I knew I needed something drought tolerant and heat hearty. She listened very well and made sure she understood what I wanted before she addressed the existing (27 year old) landscape. She took measurements and made some sketches. She even found a way to let me keep the mature guava trees. In less than a week, she electronically delivered a package containing a very detailed planting plan in 2 different scales, a legend to help identify the diverse array of plants, a plant palette with photos of each plant being used, and several brochures highlighting the native bentgrass that she helped me choose. > > The design far exceeded my expectations as I had a very strict budget to manage.
