> Nancy is a superb listener and integrated our needs and preferences into the design always. She is creative and was amazingly sensitive to the architecture of the house, creating an entry gate that echoed the details of our home in an imaginative and yet very functional way. She is knowledgeable about plant and hard-scape installation and works hand in glove with the contractors. She can communicate well and is really responsible in follow through; an excellent time manager and project manager. Neighbors continually stop to say how beautiful the design is; it is drought tolerant and yet full of color and feeling of abundance. Her budget was very reasonable and she found creative ways to reduce costs; there were no change orders -- she worked within the agreed budget. And Nancy is delightful to work with!!

**★★★★★ — William, Dec. 2025**

> Our front yard was destroyed during our home renovation and we wanted to replace and enhance the new look of the house with complimenting landscaping.
> We decided on Nancy Greene of Greene Landscape. We couldn’t be happier with the results. From consultation to installation Nancy was present and collaborative. The plan was to have drought resistant plants but also to have a color palette. We got both. As we live in an area with a Home Owners Association Nancy helped choose the plants and trees from the HOA list of preferred plants. She also provided all the necessary paperwork to present to the HOA for approval.
> We also enlisted her choice for the installation of the landscape - William Ranselaar and he is true craftsman who loves his work and it shows!
> We are enjoying our new landscaping as are all our neighbors.

**★★★★★ — Leslie Rosdol, Dec. 2024**

> Nancy was recommended to us by a trusted neighbor and this referral was validated as soon as we met her. She was on time, prepared and very knowledgeable about both hard-and landscape design. Above all, she was a great listener. She heard our ideas and incorporated them into our plans wherever possible. Her years of experience also kept us on track. We were very happy with the results.

**★★★★★ — Caitlin B, Dec. 2023**

> Nancy listened to our vision and hopes and created a beautiful and practical design for a low water front yard! We get a ton of compliments from neighbors. And no more mowing, yay.

**★★★★★ — Lori, Dec. 2023**

> Wow! I was so happy with our new front yard landscaping from Green Landscape Designs. I hired Nancy Greene to design a major face lift for the front of the house garden as I was putting our home on the market. The project included design, landscape, and irrigation.

For the initial consult Nancy Greene came to the property and spoke with me for over an hour, clarifying my needs and wants and showing me examples of her work and many plants that I had never heard of. After last summer’s heatwaves I knew I needed something drought tolerant and heat hearty. She listened very well and made sure she understood what I wanted before she addressed the existing (27 year old) landscape. She took measurements and made some sketches. She even found a way to let me keep the mature guava trees. In less than a week, she electronically delivered a package containing a very detailed planting plan in 2 different scales, a legend to help identify the diverse array of plants, a plant palette with photos of each plant being used, and several brochures highlighting the native bentgrass that she helped me choose.
>
> The design far exceeded my expectations as I had a very strict budget to manage. Her use of color, textures, height and natural curves gave me the elegant curb appeal I was hoping for. The irrigation was designed for customization of planting groups and made the most of the water that would be needed.
>
> Nancy was always available during the installation process. She even made a few trips after it was finished to check on the plants.

I would definitely work with Nancy again. She worked within my budget and completed the project quickly so that I was able to list the property right on schedule. I am forever grateful for her work.

**★★★★★ — RICK CARPENITO, July 2023**

> STOP!
> That is the best advice … if you are still searching for the ‘right’ Landscape Designer/Artist, well, you can STOP your search RIGHT NOW.
>
> “It’s a masterpiece!” - that's the common expression made when my property is now viewed by guests - day or night.
>
> Enter Nancy Greene … A Designer that actually LISTENS to you and transforms your ideas into ART.
>
> My classic two-bedroom 1934 Spanish-Colonial house was nearly hidden from sight in a quiet Los Angeles, cul-de-sac. It was just another old house on the street until, completely blown away by her portfolio and brilliant ideas, I invited Nancy to come in … and take over. She could see the curb appeal was high - just masked by decades of all the wrong choices. The mediocre landscape did nothing to showcase the original architectural beauty of the structure. And, there was large backyard that was overgrown and hiding a potentially beautiful ‘Hacienda’.
>
> Nancy completely reimagined both the front and back yards - with heavy emphasis on the latter. She could see that this large plot of land (as big as the house itself) could be easily transformed into an amazing outdoor ‘living’ space - one that would enhance and compliment the original Spanish Colonial flavor and create an absolutely relaxing, peaceful, resort-like experience.
>
> She was able to ‘groom’ much of the existing front yard shrubbery, while mixing in new plants, designs and lighting - but, the real extraordinary visual is happening behind the new privacy wall in the all-new, superbly manicured, resort backyard.
>
> “Nancy is a miracle worker - she does so much with so little - it’s all about design and just ‘knowing’ how to arrange things - how to make it all fit together seamlessly … she amazes every day … and, the best part is that she actually LISTENS to you … she took my ideas and transformed them into sheer beauty ...”
>
> Words can’t really describe this one - it needs to be seen and experienced - seeing is believing and, believe me - you won’t believe what she did with my property … again, you can stop your search today. Reach out to Nancy Greene. You will never regret the call.

> We had asked Nancy design a new look for our front yard, and boy did we get one! People stop to look at the landscaping Nancy had designed for us, commenting on the beauty of the colors and layers of plantings. The yellows, purples and reds bring out the style and beauty of our spanish style home. In addition, our grandchildren are enthralled with our terrific and delicious espalier apple trees.
> Her choices for contractors were impeccable.
> I would recommend Nancy to anyone who is interested in quality work.

**★★★★★ — A C, Sept. 2022**

> Nancy is extremely talented and made our vision a reality. She designed the front and backyard helping us to bring the house back to its roots, Mid Century Modern. Expert with plants and mid-century design. She was tentative and a pleasure to work with. Excellent customer services. I highly recommend Nancy’s company for landscape design and management of the landscape project. She works with a few landscape companies and the one we choose did excellent work.

**★★★★★ — Richard M, May 2021**

> Nancy is a professional that knows the steps it takes to go from a blank slate to a finished paradise. She listens to your ideas, needs, and budget to making your ideas become a reality. My backyard project started with a blank slate after removing all but a few trees. Even with changes I made during project, Nancy is hands on with you as well as contractors to see the job go as seamless as possible. My backyard has been transformed into a paradise.
> With her ease to work with and her experience, I highly recommend!

**★★★★★ — Roger Glickman, May 2021**

> Nancy's thoughtful approach and hands-on support during our project enabled us to refine our vision and achieve a result that surpassed our expectations. Her advice on topics ranging from the paint color on our house to the design of our new fence, and her considered recommendations of not just the trees and plants we used but also about their placement, planting and maintenance have all been invaluable.
>
> Neighbors and other passersby often give unsolicited positive feedback about our newly re-designed front yard. Our amazing back yard has been a cherished treasure enjoyed by our family and our guests.
>
> We are very grateful to Nancy for a job well done and we wholeheartedly recommend her services to others.

**★★★★★ — Patrick Purcell, May 2019**

> Green Landscape designed and supervised the realization of three separate landscape projects on our property in recent years.
> Nancy provided extensive knowledge of planting possibilities along with an astute appreciation of her clients' objectives and sensibilities. We appreciated both her recommendations and her flexibility!
> Nancy helped us select landscapers, gardeners, installers, etc.; and oversaw each project's implementation to successful completion.
> It has been a pleasure working with Nancy and Green Landscape Designs.

**★★★★★ — Carol Williams, May 2019**

> Nancy is the best! Very knowledgeable and a delight to work with. Our landscaping looks fabulous. I highly recommend her.

**★★★★★ — steve abrams, May 2019**

> we interviewed other individuals and found them not interested in our thoughts on the type of plants and the layout. Nancy was sensitive to our needs while pointing out areas that could be improved upon. She has an artistic sense that brought insight to a project that we did not have. In adddition she recommended an individual who implemented the design, planting and irrigation and who was very patient and considereate who answered all our questions .

**★★★★★ — Holly Ghilotti, Oct. 2018**

> Green Landscape Designs-Nancy was responsive, professional, creative, and stayed within my budget as well as deadline. She has a keen eye for design, color and plant selection. From concept, to preliminary professional map/drawings , through completion she continually made creative suggestions/contributions. She supervised, and maintained consistent communication with me and the installer. She used accent pieces, and lighting which brought the entire concept to life. Would definitely use Green Landscape Designs again. Love my new backyard space!!!! See before and after photos

**★★★★★ — Bob C, Aug. 2018**

> We recently engaged Nancy Greene and Green Landscape Designs to design and install landscaping for our Santa Monica Spanish-style house.
>
> Our brief included a number of challenges, all of which Nancy and her team were able to address creatively and cost-effectively.
>
> We required the landscaping to complement the style of the house, provide a warm and welcoming “secret garden” ambiance for outdoor entertaining, and to be water-efficient. Most critically, the landscaping needed to be easy to maintain as the house is currently a rental (we live out of the country), so it needed to be both beautiful and low-maintenance for our tenants.
>
> Green Landscape Design’s team of design, installation and arborist pros were able to transform the yard and garden areas into charming and functional spaces, great for family get-togethers, intimate outdoor dining, and relaxation.
>
> Their work was cost-conscious, meticulous (benefiting no doubt from Nancy’s many years of medical experience), on time and on budget. We were referred to Nancy’s team by a previous client and, as promised, they proved to be sensitive to our needs and great to work with.

**★★★★★ — User, Aug. 2018**

> I found Nancy and Green Landscape Designs through Houzz. I hired Nancy for a re-design of my front yard. I explained to Nancy what my needs were and she led me in the right direction. Nancy helped me with the vision, assisted with the plant selection, and the implementation of the design. She was very hands on, which I appreciated. I was able to stay under-budget on this project, which is a rare feat. I could not be more happier with the outcome and with Nancy. I would recommend Green Landscape Designs to my friends and family.

**★★★★★ — George, April 2018**

> Nancy was very knowledgeable and was always on time and professional. We love our landscaping and would highly recommend Nancy.

**★★★★★ — Greg Harrington, July 2017**

> Nancy did an excellent job. She was attentive, provided interesting ideas, accommodated my responses and my own ideas and was good with turnaround time. I would certainly use her again.

**★★★★★ — madgew, July 2017**

> Redid both front and back yard vegetation to be drought tolerant. No grass in front at all. Parkway and yard all trees and plants from New Zealand. Wonderful to work with and after a few years the yards are all grown in and many compliments given. Nancy is easy to work with and very reasonable.
