Most good tile stores can source porcelain with a silver shimmer or Stainless faced mosaic options. If you are in BC, I can help you source product for your project. Let me know if I can assist. Anne **Q: Beautiful slate shower!** *(in Photo Questions)* I was planning on using this same slate in our shower, but the distributor recommends that it not be used in showers or tub surrounds due to rust? Have your clients had any problems with their slate shower? A: With a great Tilesetter you should have no problem using slate. It can be inconsistent on tile heights and levels. This Indian Autumn had pinks pulled from the bundles and careful levelling on floors with a seal coat each year to enhance the rich colours. No rust issues on any slate I've installed. Anne Boa Interior Design **Q: can you share the manufacturer of the backsplash?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: This backsplash material is a Thasos marble, which came in sheets of 12" x 12" from Creekside Tile in Vancouver. You'll need an experienced tilesetter. I used a pale grey unsanded grout. Let me know if I may assist with your project further. Anne Boa **Q: For the shower curb, did you use Bull Nose Tile, or if not, what?** *(in Photo Questions)* I like the look of the limited number number of grout lines A: Actually the grout lines are there, matching the floor grout lines. A great Tilesetter can position pieces for fewer grout lines on the exposed side - putting front face tile sitting under the cap/ top piece. Reticulated or hard edged tile can have very limited space between tiles helping to reduce visible grout lines. Match or slightly darker grout helps the lines disappear. Hope this helps. Anne Boa **Q: what is the height of the shower curb, maybe also the width** *(in Photo Questions)* I am re-doing my masterbath and the curb is \*" in height, I like your height better A: My preference is no curb if possible, but this requires a shower floor large enough to slope appropriately. I do custom curbs by turning boards on their sides to be about three inches deep by three inches high including the finished tile. In small showers, put the shower glass as wide as possible on the curb, to get the maximum interior space. Hope this helps. Let me know if I may assist with your project. Anne Boa **Q: I like the toilet. What brand/model is it?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Hi Janet, this project is about 5 years old- so many toilets ago.... The toilet was likely an inexpensive European toilet with the rounded lid. These types of enclosed bases and one piece toilets are pretty easy to find now.
