What makes her great at her job is she really listens to you- the client. She is good at communicating and she’s fun to be around. We built a house with a contemporary design and wanted a like interior but also wanted to incorporate the more traditional furnishings we already owed, including a number of oriental rugs. Some pieces we decided needed refurbishing. Some new things were purchased. We also had all the design choices to be made with a new-build; space planning, windows, flooring, cabinets, tile, lighting, etc, etc. A big job. I was completely overwhelmed at the start. Cynthia made the experience manageable, enjoyable and rewarding. She is adept at computer aided design and will draw up as many iterations as you need for decisions. She has working relationships with many wonderful reputable local and internet showrooms/sources. She will order as many fabric samples as you need. We spent a lot of time together looking, discussing, evaluating, comparing, sometimes back tracking, deciding and ordering. I had strong opinions. I like a lot of color. Cynthia incorporated my ideas while gently but firmly guiding me away from what were not good design choices. She works with your budget. When I got stuck, she unstuck me. When I dithered, she helped me decide. Our year and a half of working with Cynthia was an excellent experience.
