### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Barbara Howard, July 2019**

> From start to finish, working with Dianne has been a pleasure not just for us, but for our contractor and architect too. Our 200 year old farmhouse featured a tired old gloomy 60's-era kitchen with low ceilings and mismatched Formica. It was a challenge, but Dianne immediately saw the possibilities. She captured and vastly improved on our vision. I dreamed of soapstone counter tops but worried about chipping and maintenance. Dianne suggested a lovely new care-free quartz that mimics soapstone, complete with veining. When the white farmer's kitchen sink we ordered was not available, she suggested fabricating an apron front sink out of the same "soapstone" quartz. The result is seamless and stunning, and a real nod to the antiquity of the house. Disarmingly cheerful, she made herself available throughout the project, and when inevitable issues arose, she was flexible and came up with imaginative solutions. For example, once the kitchen was gutted there was a problem with the placement of a "chase" to run plumbing/wiring to the second floor. Dianne suggested a tweak to the architect's plans that provided a chase, while eliminating a dreaded corner cabinet and adding a bonus walk-in pantry with even more storage. Dianne held my hand when it came time to choose light fixtures, knobs and all the little extras, and she didn't steer my wrong. She respected that, given the age of the house, we were going for simplicity and did not try to "up-sell" us. Armed with an inventory list she made of all that was stored in our original kitchen, she recommended drawer and cabinet inserts that gave us a place for everything. With everything in its place, the counter tops are now clear and multiple cooks can prepare a meal while talking and laughing with family and friends who are not underfoot. The end result is a homey bright uncluttered kitchen with plenty of storage and work space that has become the social center of our home. We couldn't be happier.

> Dianne was a great professional and a very pleasant person to work with! She helped us with the design and construction of the kitchen and three bathrooms. She had great suggestions that fit in with our lifestyle and have proven to be very helpful now that we use the kitchen and baths. She was very conscious of our budget and helped us stay within it. She helped us source materials that we liked and supported our ideas! I cannot recommend Dianne and Edesia Kitchen and Bath Studio enough!

She reimagined my kitchen to be modern, sleek with a dose of Spanish charm. My husband and I truly enjoyed working with Dianne and miss her bright and sunny disposition.

> Achieving functional and attractive kitchen and bath design requires a professional who specializes in these spaces. Not only do these rooms see the most action in the home, but they also require the most planning and attention to detail. When a customer is looking for a kitchen or bath, I always recommend Dianne Aucello of Edesia Kitchen & Bath Studio.

> We originally hired Edesia because we had a complicated layout to our kitchen and couldn't figure out how to set it up. Dianne picked up on our style right away and designed a dream kitchen that included everything we hoped for and more. We were so impressed with her, we then hired her to do our new master bathroom and she did not disappoint us. Both projects were on point and came out spectacular. She was easy to work with, had great suggestions, and was responsive to our concerns and questions. She was also present during construction to help
> problem solve and make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I would definitely hire Edesia again and I will certainly recommend Edesia to my friends and family.

**Comment from Edesia Kitchen & Bath Studio:**

> Jody - I love the changes that we made to your home! Thank you for having confidence in my decisions. You & David were fabulous to work with. I hope you continue to enjoy entertaining around that island! I have attached some before photos. I doubt you miss the old kitchen!

**★★★★★ — Mike Holden, Sept. 2016**

> Dianne worked on my kitchen design and supply. My experience with her was excellent. She paid great attention to detail and was a joy to work with. She was able to come into the rough space and visualized how to make the space make sense. Her design was very organic, and that was the best asset. The product quality that I ended up purchasing was the premier brand that I got proposals on. The craftsmanship was top of the line. Her installation team was always on time and was incredibly skilled with finished carpentry.

**Comment from Edesia Kitchen & Bath Studio:**

> Hi Mike
> Thanks for the review! I am glad that you are happy with your new kitchen! it was great to work with you and your team.

> Working with Dianne was one of the most important decisions we made when deciding to renovate our kitchen from top-to-bottom. Dianne was able to take the many ideas we had and boil them down into a single design. She kept us on track with the decision-making. And when the kind of marble that we had dreamed about for our countertops became difficult to find, she wouldn't let us settle for second choice. Instead she searched and searched until she found just what we had been envisioning. Our kitchen came out even better than we were dreaming and we wouldn't change a thing.

**Comment from Edesia Kitchen & Bath Studio:**

> Thank you Suzanne! Your kitchen is beautiful and we are looking forward to photographing it!

There were some unusual factors regarding this installation and she handled it all with excellent thoroughness and appropriate concern. I highly recommend Dianne and her product line, and look forward to future projects with her.

**Comment from Edesia Kitchen & Bath Studio:**

> Hello Abby - thank you for those kind words. Glad the client is happy!

> As an interior designer with a busy practice it is so helpful for me to work with high quality professionals like Dianne. Dianne has worked on a number of kitchen remodels with me. She has great ideas with design, has quality cabinet lines and handles difficult areas with a variety of creative solutions. Dianne is a clear and efficient communicator. She easily explains to my clients in non-technical terms the parameters of the design. She delivers on time. It is nice to work with someone who really cares about the beauty and practicality of the finished product. I highly recommend Dianne as a kitchen designer.

**Comment from Edesia Kitchen & Bath Studio:**

> thank you Betsy! It is a pleasure to work with a professional like yourself!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Countertops** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the countertops here?

A: yes it's a man made quartz to look like soapstone, but without maintenance

**Q: Countertops** *(in Photo Questions)*

Are the countertops soapstone? What kind?

A: These are quartz tops that are made to look like soapstone. It is Silestone, Eternal Charcoal soapstone.

**Q: Nice counter tops** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the name of the granite?

A: Hi there - it's Verde butterfly

**Q: Nice kitchen** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the name of the granite? And who made the hood?

A: Hello! The granite is fantasy brown. I am not sure about the hood.

**Q: Another plea for backsplash ideas** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Planning my galley kitchen remodel and settled on painted semi-Shaker cabinets in soft white with lower cabinets/drawers in medium gray; darker gray countertops. There's 24"of backsplash on each side of a stainless steel stove with a microwave over it and about 8' - 10' opposite with sink about in the middle. There's a window over the sink. I'm not crazy about using all thin tiles and want to use some color. I'm open to suggestions.

A: How about a back painted glass back splash? Depending on the shape of the splash, this could be a real minimal but sexy solution, There would be minimal maintenance.

**Q: My bath needs a MAJOR overhaul!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

The master bath is postage stamp size. The house is 1950's and the baths were built small. I need to move some walls and raise the ceiling. Too much for me to wrap my head around! Where do I start!

A: Moving the toilet is the most expensive part of the project. Can you keep it in its current location and build it into a toilet room? Then you can expand the bathroom around it. Good luck!
