These were a custom order for stock and I know we only have one left. **Q: Rug Runner advice** *(in Design Dilemma)* I want a runner for my hallway but not sure how long or wide is appropriate! I folded up a rug to show what a 2.6 x 8 looks like here. The entry is wide, and I have a short set of steps that interrupts the hallway. Should I go longer? Shorter? Wider? Not a runner but a 5x8 perhaps? I like modern but classic pieces. I want my home to feel light but colorful. My home has all white walls with vibrant bright colors used in art etc. I've also attached 2 rugs I like- thoughts? Lastly- painting the door white is an option. I go back & forth. A: Either a 5x7 or 6x8 would be nice in that area, tuck the rug under the legs of the console. Happy Painting-be sure to use a good primer! **Q: Grey Bathroom Rental - Help!** *(in Design Dilemma)* I'm moving into a very modern building with an all grey tile bathroom. I have a variety of colored towels (white, ocean blue and butter yellow), but not sure how to make this area brighter and lighter. Would love any suggestions!!! I feel like I'm limited considering it's Tile and a rental. Thank you for your help! A: It looks clean, newer and neutral. I agree with a bright, modern shower curtain to coordinate with your towels. Canvas art is light weight and could easily be hung on 3M hooks/hardware on a tile wall or drywall above the towel bar. A fun floor mat & accessories and you are set. Good Luck! **Q: Need to update dining room** *(in Design Dilemma)* I am thinking of replacing the chairs as the most cost effective way to update my dining room. Suggestions on color, style, or other ideas? A: I like the idea of recovering the seat cushions, but you could also buy just two new chairs, one for each end. The head chairs would be fun fully upholstered. A new lighting fixture with more character/contrast and also lowered would add interest. Out with the mirror and show some character with a bold piece of large art or a grouping of smaller pieces that appear as a large piece. Add two buffet lamps (tall thin) to the console. It's ok to overlap the lamps over the art, it adds depth & interest.
