> Wolverine Contracting Design + Remodel provided us with exceptional craftsmanship for our renovation. They weren’t our cheapest option but their unique cost-plus process of contracting, clear & transparent labor rates and discounts saved us thousands on our projects. We have never seen a company operate in this manner, but it just made complete sense to us, and it works extremely well. Along the way we were a bit indecisive and made a few changes which added work to the original scope, increased our budget and timeline, however Douglas immediately shifted into another gear and was able to incorporate our changes within the original design. He is extremely honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable of his trade. His communication skills and integrity were second to none. I don’t know how he handles all the stress, but he makes it look easy. All team members and subcontractors were respectful of us and our home and a pleasure to work with as well. We highly recommend Wolverine Contracting and will be contacting them for any future projects.

> Doug and his crew worked with us this summer to remove and replace all of the trim and doors in our house.  This was a lead abatement project which I was wary to do since I have young kids and was pregnant, but Doug and his crew took our family's safety very seriously.  Doug worked with me for a long time before we started the project to determine the best approach.  He was very flexible when the scope of the project changed and he kept us within our budget.  All of the work they did was high quality.  We moved out of our house while the work was being done, so timelines were important to us.  The dates they gave us were accurate.  Doug is one of the most responsive and trustworthy people I have worked with in this industry.

> Doug's crew did a number of things during the job including installing a kitchen backsplash, extending basement walls and adding a door, building and installing a fireplace mantel, some painting, and assorted "handyman" tasks I needed done. A great job from start to finish, and the work was as requested and completed on time. I appreciated very much that Doug was straightforward with me as to what he thought it was worth having his crew do vs. where it made more sense to do it myself if possible vs. not bothering to do it at all because it wouldn't be a good return on the investment. He check in on the work being done to make sure it was meeting his standards, and Jon and Errick delivered. There was a little extra clean up I had to do afterwards, but I think it was par for the course. I won't hesitate to hire Doug again.

In the middle of my bedroom/bathroom/closet remodel I had to terminate the original company I had working on the project because their work was so sloppy and incomplete.  Doug and his crew came in, corrected all the mistakes the first company did, and completed the rest of the work on the project.  They were meticulous, detail oriented, thorough, and clean!  They did everything from painting, plumbing, custom built shelving, and electrical work.

He even researched the brand of our old grout that was used (previous owners) so he was familiar with the suite of products and purchased additional products (colorant and sealant) for us to use after they re-grouted.  The new grout and caulk look great and he walked us through the application of the additional products and even offered to assist with any questions as we used them.  Doug worked with us to make the project cost effective and was in continuos communication with us regarding the project between the time of the estimate until after the project was complete.  I would highly recommend Wolverine Custom Painting for any home projects, they go above and beyond.  They also do more than painting :).
